Neither Male of Female

The above proposition is falsehood taken from a first century Gnostic interpretation of the Scriptures. The interpretation Mrs. Abbott places on this verse was preached "over" the first woman being ordained in America in 1853. The woman ordained by use of this verse, was Antoinette L. Brown. The text of the man who ordained her, was printed and distributed across America. Anyone may read the Galatian passage and see that Preaching is not Paul's subject or text. The twist placed upon this verse is indefensible. The context is not who can preach, or who can be in the Five-Fold-Ministry. The context is who is included in the ONE body of the CHURCH. Therefore, it teaches who can be saved. It is not teaching who is qualified to preach. The idea of oneness of the BODY is patterned after the oneness of Israel.

Jews and proselytes, male and female, rich and poor, bond and free, were considered the ONE BODY of Israel. Yet, in that one Church in the wilderness (Acts 7:38), no woman was permitted to be a priestess. The idea of the ONE BODY was to identify the inclusive group united under the ONE COVENANT. In the New Testament, it is the Church, made up of male and female, rich and poor, bond and free, and Jew and Gentile.

The Galatian passage cannot be made into a text to qualify a woman preacher. Otherwise everyone in these classifications are equally entitled to preach outside of any New Testament qualifications? No, the inclusiveness intended in the text was to draw all into the COVENANT of Jesus Messiah. The Galatian Church certainly did not believe this verse was intended to ordain women preachers, because there is no record a woman was ever ordained to preach in the Galatian Church. So to twist and wrest this verse contrary to the way the Galatian Church practiced it, is falsehood.

Paul has just concluded a comparison of Law and Faith in Galatians 3:23. He concludes, that the operation of faith through the Apostolic Teachings of Messiah, make us ONE in Abraham's Covenant without need of observing the abrogated rituals of the Law. I remind everyone here, that the seed of Abraham, whether by Covenant Faith or fleshly Seed, did not recognize a single woman priestess or preacher.

Sarah did not go with Abraham to help him officiate at his altars. She did not go with him to Mount Moriah with Isaac. She did not interfere in the Spiritual leadership of the family. When God came to Abraham on the serious business of Lot and his family in Sodom, he did not come to Sarah as a priestess or preacheress as equal to Abraham.

Those females in search of the image of the Apostolic Woman, will love God and, like Sarah, not be amazed with fear of thinking God doesn't love them, because they are excluded from the Ministry at Abraham's altars. They will honor their places in the home and in their relationship with their husband and their children:

Any Apostolic wife who takes over her husband's altar to officiate and preach, is not a daughter of Sarah! The Apostle Peter taught that Apostolic Women would copy the life and manner of Sarah. Since Sarah did not usurp authority at any of Abraham's altars, so, no true Apostolic Woman will come nigh the altar of her husband to take over. Since Sarah did not build a single altar and left that up to her husband, so, no sweet Apostolic Woman will get between her husband and God and try to build the Church congregation through preaching and giving altar calls. If she receives any gift of the Spirit, she is just as much under subjection as all other woman using a gift in the Church. The Apostolic Woman will be a help-mate, not get mad and angry because her husband won't let her preach and she decide to be HELPLESS to him. She will "minister" to him and he will "Minister" to the Church. If a husband is not called of God to preach, but to be a helper and co-labour; likewise, his wife will "minister" to him and he will work under the Pastor as so directed. Anything less than this is not Apostolic. Anything more, is not in the Word of God.

It has become vogue today among Pentecostals and Charismatics, for a Pastor to name his wife or girlfriend as "co-pastor" of the Church with him. This is a clever falsehood to give a woman an unscriptural place of equal authority over the house of God. A wife or a girlfriend is no more a joint or co-Pastor with her husband, anymore than Peter's wife was a co-Apostle, or Philip's wife was a co-deacon, or Timothy's wife was a co-evangelist, or for that matter, Israel was a co-God or now the Church is a co-God. The idea of "sharing" a ministry with a woman, by the man relinquishing partial or full authority, supposedly invested in him, is falsehood. The idea that a sexual oneness exists between a husband and wife and they equally share the one Calling of God, is falsehood. If a wife is a co-minister because of the oneness of conjugal privilege, what does that make a woman who preaches for this man, and she is not his wife? Would this not imply spiritual adultery?

Co-pastoring and co-ministering are falsehoods based upon the erroneous doctrine that the sanctity of sexual relations qualifies the woman to share the Pastor's Ministry. The idea of phallic ordination is not new. There have been many cults and groups who teach and believe, that phallic initiation makes the recipient an equal member of the group. The oneness of conjugal unions do not ordain a woman into any Calling or Ministry her husband may have. Therefore, these "two are one flesh," does not mean a woman is ordained to preach, the moment she is united with her husband to consummate the conjugal union. Otherwise, all wives of Ministers are automatically made preachers the moment of first intimacy. This is a false doctrine that smacks of Belial, Jezebel, and witchcraft, not an Apostolic Church.

Otherwise, if a wayward Minister lay with a woman not his wife, he makes her a part of his Ministry also:

Ascendancy to priestesshood, or to become a woman preacher, or co-pastor through sexual union of the marriage consummation, is not found in your Bible. It comes from mystery Babylon. It is improper, ungodly, immoral, and unscriptural, for a man to bring conjugal sexual relations into the pulpit as an ordination, so his wife or girl friend can claim a reward to preach or co-pastor. I beg your forgiveness for putting it so bluntly. I tried to find words that would not be overly suggestive. This is the best I could do and still deal with the issue.

In our search for the Apostolic Woman, we find loving and beautiful help-mates. We will find thousands of young single girls, divorcees, and widows, who although prohibited from the pulpit as Ministers and Preachers, still believe in God with all their hearts. They live holiness lives and look forward to many happy years of service to the Lord. They are children of God and I am proud to know many of them. But not one of them will prostitute her body so she can then claim as a reward or payment, ordination to preach or be some co-minister! In the Church, there is neither male or female, but that is how God judges us in regards to who can be a member of the Church Triumphant, NOT WHO CAN PREACH.
