LARRY SMITH FALLS FROM THE GRACE OF GOD Brother Smith sees himself as a possible UPC marytr, so he relishes the day he is made a Preterist hero by their kicking him out or refusing to renew his annual license.
He has hung himself. His errors have taken him down into the garden of nuts. If he does not repent the man will end up perverted.
His mess with all the coming verses in the Gospels being fullfilled by 70AD makes the Lord'S Supper to have ceased and ended also. For Paul preaching the Gospel say the Corinthians should do this celebration to shew the Lord's death until he comes. The "until he comes" is said by Smith to be the 70AD coming in judgment. So, he has effectively ended any and all observance of the Lord's Passover.
Larry T. Smith is a Preterist nut. Anyone who supports this man's hereises and interpretations is an apostate. Larry Smith has ended the Lord's Supper with his false doctrine. He can weasel his way out of this but he is the one who said the coming of Jesus in Corinthians took place in 70AD. He said all the coming verses have been fulfilled except the coming of the Lord at the end of the millennial which he makes also the end of the Kingdom age. Smith has a Church before 70AD and a millennial Kingdom after 70AD. This man has deceived all those who deserved to be deceived. Any man who does not have enough Holy Ghost to see through this man's lies deserves to be deceived. Smith is seeking those who are deceived and who love to spiritualize the Word of God. This lot of spiritualizers will create their own Preterist Apostolic Organization in due time. They will come out of the closet and like the homosexuals of San Francisco, they will wave their banners how free they are. It will be interesting to see who Smith will pull out of the various groups to form his new Preterist Catholic Apostolic organization. We will wait and see if Smith is the first pope of his babel.
I believe the UPC Commission of Doctrine should look at Brother Smith's heresies and rule him a heritic. They should also look at the entire problems that Partial Preterism creates. For instance:
"For as oft as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death until he comes" (1Cor 11:26).
If this text was fullfilled in 70AD, then we have some major doctrinal clashes.
First, the 70AD theory ends of Jesus coming in judgment ends all observance of the Lord's Supper regardless how one observers it.
Second, if we are to shew the Lord's death only until 70AD, then what of baptism that is into his death, showing the perfection of his death, and the promise of a future resurrection? Our whole plan of salvation is annuled and come to its end. So, what is the plan of salvation that contains no mention or necessity of faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus?
All it takes is for a couple nuts to grab Smith's conclusions and strike out like a wrecking ball through the Churches. I am sure there are some Smith ordained nuts in waiting read to demolish as soon as he sends them out.
No wonder Paul was so hard on Hymenaeus, Piletus, and Alexander and turned the latter two over to the devil (2Tim 2:17-18; 1Tim 1:20). The whole foundation of New Testament salvation is at risk. Brother Smith, Brother Ron Turner, and Brother Michael Blume keep telling folks that Preterism or the other eschatological views are not salvational and therefore are unimportant issues. This is a lie! I disagree! Why would Jesus tell us not to be deceived about his second coming and give us a detailed list of things by which a person may be deceived, if this is not a salvational issue? One such issue is the false Messiah that would come (many shall come in my name saying I am Christ).
Smith, Turner, and Blume need to be turned over to the devil. They are working hard to destory the Jesus name people with their Catholic heresy.
I believe as Paul that when the second coming is attacked and the resurrection that occurs with it is said to be past, then this doctrine doth eat as a canker. In other words it doesn't stop there but other essential doctrines of the faith are affected and destroyed.
I would like to see the effects of this doctrine dealt with as well as the doctrine. I am sure the members of the UPC Commission on Doctrine will avail themselves of every thing they can get to read and educate themselves on this issue before they come together to deliberate.
Be encouraged ye that have renounced the Preterist heresy.
The Messianic Apostolc faith will have a revival, in spite of several that fall away!
