Smith Changes Rapture Stance As The Winds Blow
My daddy said figures never lie, but liars always figure. So goes the legacy of Larry T. Smith, Preterist and Amillennialist. Seems from one year to the next he must develop a new lie. Smith has been an avid reader of these pages. He comes by often to see if anything new is posted about him. He gets fresh anointings when he reads the criticisms here. He notes the issues we raise and he heads back to the tape room to issue a new series. The man is a real tape freak. He is so ego-centric, he has to keep pumping out the tapes to correct all his quick slap-leg revelations. His tape worms are like those who must have their tapes of S.C. Johnson or William Branham. When Smith finally leaves the scenes of the stage he is now playing on, his followers will fashion a cult after him and out will come the tapes. I am sure they will embellish him as some last day messenger. We wait for the halos, the pillars of fire, the eagles, the blasts that shake hugh bolders off mountains, and the claim of an angel giving him special aid. We are sure he will start claiming visions and all sorts of other spiritual encounters to give his lies validity. People seem to flock to men who claim these supernatural visitations, visions, dreams, and shining angels.
Smith started out claiming with the Preterist that all prophecy was fulfilled except from Revelation 20:5 through to 22:21. He even has the first resurrection of Revelation 20 already in the past. He claims this is when a person is born again and rebirthed in the new resurrection of a new life. He quotes Romans 6 for his text. Not only is he false on this, he must make those who are in the first resurrection saved before they are resurrected in his alleged rebirth. Think about it. There are those who were killed because of the Word of God etc. They refused to take the mark of the beast, worship his image, and rejected the anitchrist rascal. They are killed. Then they are resurrected. Smith claims the resurrection of these is nothing but sinners being saved. Get that, sinners being saved and obtaining a resurrection according to Romans 6 into a saved new life. Now how is that possible? These would have already been saved if they gave their lives for the Word of God. Why would they need saved through a spiritualized resurrection? But Smith and his lies needs to alter this whole text and so he has concocted a spiritualized interpretation. He has used witchdoctor magic to make the Word of God say something it does not say. And, he has a whole lot of his church members under the spells of his caldron!
Smith has demonstrated how nuts think! The issue at the moment is his first claim that the resurrection of 1Cor 15 had already been fulfilled. This promise of a coming of Jesus and the resurrection is a prophecy and according to Smith all prophecy has already been fulfilled. What is Smith's latest rune? He knows sooner or later the UPCI will trim his wings or cast him out of the chicken house. He has been crowing rather loudly recently and some of the other roosters are not liking it. So there was a conference and the roosters said the best way to pluck this dude's feathers was to pounce on him about the future coming of the Lord and the resurrection. Seems the decision of the roosters was leaked back to Smith and he decided he better change his crowing somewhat. Seems the conference of roosters do not mind if he has different opinions on prophecy and eschatology, they just resent him claiming the rapture and resurrection of 1 Cor 15 was already fulfilled in 70AD. Smith would have to crow differently on this and stretch out his neck way far, or they would pluck his tail feathers and make him look like a hen. So, what is Smith to do? He does not what to look like a hen, (although he acts like one)?
He went back to his chicken house, and there conferred with some hens and a few roosters. The hens prophesied. The roosters prophesied. Smith was pleased. His Church was still on board with him. The chicken house was all behind him. So, he steps out into the wind and here it came. A new revelation. Seems the wind blows strong in El Campo. Smith got a new revelation. The rapture and resurrection of 1Cor 15 has not already occured he reasoned. This happens at the end of the world in Revelation 20 AFTER THE MILLENNIAL has ended. Yep, there is the answer, he can no longer be accused of not having a future rapture or resurrection of the dead in Christ as found in 1Cor 15. HE just took the power of the council of roosters away and they cannot now make him look like a hen. Why he just took the rapture and resurrection from where he had it in 70AD and before his millennial started, and placed it at the end of the 1,000 years or the end of the physical world. Now, he would go back into the chicken house and report this new revelation to the family. The hens kackled. The other roosters crowed. They each prophesied one to another. Yes sir, no group of roosters was going to make their chief rooster look like a hen. This time, the prophecies of the hens and the roosters with Smith were a might stronger. "Who ever opposes you Larry my boy, I will kill them. I will kill them like I did Pharoah's army. I will kill them, yes, Larry, I will kill them, saith the Lord" (yes I am paraphrasing)! Oh my God, now Larry Smith has him a prophet crowing. He and Ron Turner have a whole flock of hens crowing now. Yeah, he loves those women preachers giving him pats on the back and telling him new visions they have seen of eagles soaring and landing on his Church. He loves those female prophetesses who can't seem to keep their own lives in order and here they come going to put the whole Church in prophetic order with their prophecies upon Smith. This Jezebel priesthood has give Smith a real boast in self esteem. Interesting how his private revelations always seem to come blessed from woman preachers.
Shall the men of God allow Smith to move the rapture and first resurrection from the end of the Church age to the end of the millennial and at the destruction of the physical world? Shall we allow him to pervert the text that deals with the premillennial first resurrection? Shall we allow him to pervert so much of the Word of God he makes it of none effect? I say no! I say the Lord will raise up new messengers to preach against these heresies. The Lord himself will resist these perversions. He will prove Smith and his company are all false. For the time being, someone needs to pray his church people are delivered from under the cult spell he has cast upon their minds through his tapes and his doctrines of devils. Smith is no better then the Pharisees. His leaven is as posion as the bite of the asp.
Conclusion: the rapture and first resurrection will take place at the sound of the last trump and at the end of the tribulation. I want to see Smith take the sound of the last trump which he claims sounded in 70AD and have it blown again at the end of the physical world. There will be a lot of blowing I am sure, but it will be Smith and not the seventh trumpet angel!
