Larry T. Smith Perversions Will Deceive Many To Take The Mark Of The Beast
Because He Says It Is Already PastHe claims he does not believe all that is on this chart. Yet he preaches it! He claims he denies there was a rapture and a resurrection in 70AD and believes ONLY in a future rapture and resurrection at the end of the physical world (Rev. 20:12-13):
Here is what Smith said when David Boyd wrote and accused him of believing in a rapture and resurrection in 70AD:
"You also made a totally false statement about what I believe when you made the statement about believing the resurrection took place in 70 A.D. I make it very clear in my book that I believe the Lord came in Judgment against Jerusalem in 70 AD, but that was not the 'last day resurrection'which is still to take place at the final coming of the Lord."
Notice he does not say there was no rapture or resurrection when he has Jesus coming in judgment. He just says "that was not the last day resurrection."
Notice here that Smith has only ONE RESURRECTION left, the one mentioned in Revelation 20:12-13, at the end of the millennial which he says began in 70AD. He says the "last days" resurrection will take place at the final coming of the Lord. Why then does he point to 70AD as the time of the end of THE LAST DAYS? Why does he say the LAST DAY RESURRECTION takes place at the end of the physical world?
Take a look at this gobblygook:
"The last days and the end of the world were used most of the time in the New Testament in reference to the last days of the Jewish age of Law keeping, not to a future time at the end of the physical world" (The Coming of the Lord, Larry T.Smith).
Did Smith give one text where the term "last days" was used to identify the end of Law keeping? No he did not because there is no such text. Here are all the "last days" text in the New Testament, check them for yourself (Acts 2:17; 2Tim 3:1; Heb 1:2; James 5:3; and 2Pet 3:3). Here are the text for "last day" in the New Testament: Joh 6:39-40, 44, 54; 7:37; 11:24; 12:48. In none of these is the end of the Law a reference. He manufactured this in his mind. Smith and his amillennialism has a big problem now. If the term "last days" was a Jewish way of saying the end of Law keeping, then the "LAST DAYS" would take place BEFORE CALVARY and END AT CALVARY because that is when the Law ended. For Smith to claim the "last days" preceeded 70AD and ended in 70AD, he has the Law not ended at Calvary but in 70AD. That is not what Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews that was written way before 70AD and way before what Smith calls the "last days." Smith cannot have two "last days" time periods. Why then does Smith claim he believes in a "LAST DAY RESURRECTION" at the end of the physical world and not rather a rapture and resurrection at the end of the LAST DAYS of law keeping which he claims was in 70AD? Are there TWO LAST DAYS?
What does Smith do with 1Corinthians 15 and 1Thessalonians 4 about the coming of the Lord and the resurrection? Does he make these his final LAST DAY resurrection at the end of the physical world? If he does, then he contradicts himself that all prophecy in the Gospels, the Epistles, and the book of Revelation to chapter 20 verse 10 is fulfilled in the past. At least he would have the prophecy of the rapture and resurrection still pending and not fulfilled. But what of the resurrection? Smith says the first resurrection of Revelation 20 is fulfilled and past! So what resurrection is 1Cor 15 and 1Thes 4? Is it the resurrection just prior to the end of the physical world? Smith denys the first resurrection is future. Smith must answer the question: did the resurrection in Revelation 20:5 occur in 70AD during those alleged LAST DAYS or will it occur in Smith's LAST DAYS at the end of the physical world? If as Smith beats his chest, the millennial began in 70AD, and if as Revelation 20:6 says, those resurrected will live during the millennium (or 1,000 years) AFTER THE FIRST RESURRECTION, then they had to be resurrected before the millennium to live and reign during it. If he says the millennium started in 70AD then he forces these in the first resurrection to be raised between 66AD and 70AD. If he says their resurrection occurs at the LAST DAYS at the time of the end of the physical world, at the end of his spiritualized KINGDOM NOW millennial; how do these resurrected live and reign during the 1,000 years or millennial IF IT IS ALL PAST, THE TIME EXTINGUISHED, AND THE MILLENNIUM HAS ENDED? How can Smith deny he does not believe there was a resurrection or rapture in 70AD, when in his tantrums he claims all of Revelation 20:1-11 are already fulfilled and PAST?
Does Smith omit the rapture and resurrection of the Corinthian and Thessalonian text or place it at the end of the Physical world? Because this is a BIG problem I will guess he will spiritualize the first resurrection to baptism or the born again experience. But let him speak for himself in a public debate if he has the courage. He does not place these at the end of the physical world, therefore he either strikes them out of the Word of God or has them fulfilled in 70AD. How then can he deny he does not believe there was a rapture and a resurrection in 70AD? His speech betrays him! His very doctrine demands a rapture and a resurrection!
One thing is certain, Smith says all of the prophecy of the New Testament was fulfilled by year end in 70AD except for part of Revelation chapter 20:12 on to the end of the book. Get that clear: ALL PROPHECY IS FULFILLED save what remains of chapters 20 and all of 21-22 of Revelation! Now, is the promise of the rapture and the resurrection NOT PART OF PROPHECY?
The heresy of Smith is tremendous. It is far worse then dispensationalism. The pre-tribs at least admit a future antichrist and mark of the beast. And although they deny they will be here, they fear taking any mark lest they be eternally cursed. The greatest danger in the pre-trib heresy is that many may take the mark of the beast thinking it is not the mark because they expected to be raptured out before it came. In addition, because of the heavy pro-Israel slant of interpretation of prophecy, when a Jewish antichrist does appear and does miracles and calls fire down from heaven, they may think he is really from God and be deceived to worship him (give him honor and praise), and damn their souls. We pray earnestly that the true Post-Tribulation message reaches those who are honest before this great deception is ushered in upon the world. But Smith's amillennial heresy is extremely dangerous because all who follow him will say the mark of the beast is past and there is no harm in any mark or seal upon the hand or forehead. Such a mentality places those who believe this damnable heresy in great danger of losing their souls. Amillennialism is one of those lies that Jesus said: "let no man deceive you by any means."
I have not and will not curse Larry T. Smith. His disciples have cursed me to hell for standing up against him on this heresy. He must repent and extricate himself out of this papacy heresy. I do not see him doing this since the mail-out of his last heretical book. Usually, when men go this far they will never turn around. They see open rebukes such as I am posting on the internet as hatemongering. Smith sees my rebuke as an attempt to control him or destroy him. Fact is, Smith has had since 1995, 7 years of free hand and a chance to repent and he has not. During this time this writer has made no personal written attacks upon him although I disfellowshipped him in 1997 for this very heresy. Not only I, but Pastor Kirkland and Evangelist Donald Lance have disfellowshipped him. Several also whom I could name have also disfellowshipped him. So any accusation I am now trying to destroy him because I could not control him is baloney! I am standing up against heresy and my stand will help many men get into their pulpits and preach the truth. I stood against William Branham and the sepent seed as have many other good men and this was not to control anyone, but to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. We all see our open stand against false doctrine as being true Pastors and Shepherds of our flocks. If we are to be blamed for this, then we happily accept all the curses hurled at us. We will lay them all on the altar!
