Mike Blume's Heresies

Junior Pastor of the Wide World of Faith Church

Minster Mike Blume is a gadabout preacher trying to find his place of fame. He assisted Brother and Sister Mean at the United Pentecostal church in Dartmouth,N.S. for a few years. He fled this church when he was in line to be the next senior Pastor. He then became the junior Pastor of the Wide World Of Faith Church, Winnipeg, Manitoba, where Rev. Marvin Simmons is the Pastor (this church is not UPC).  Pastor Marvin Simmons is a Preterist. Recently he teamed up with Minister Jamen Nicholson and they are joint Pastors of a new grub-stake in Garden City, a surberb of Los Angeles. The name of their new venture in religious hop-skotch is GARDEN CITY FELLOWSHIP." Minister Mike Blume has been acting the nomad since he departed the Dartmouth UPC Church because of his doctrines. I was informed by a Church member that the Dartmouth Church does not believe in Preterism and does not support Mike Blume in his many spiritualizing heresies.

I have had correspondence with Brother Blume for several years on several subjects.  On several occasions I felt he was straying from the Apostles' Doctrine and attempted to persuade him in several areas of Truth. Brother Blume was open to a lot of Truth because it was already what he had been taught according to him.  He was just looking for other insights and confirming witnesses.  As time progressed, it became apparent to me that he was drifting into spiritualizing the Word of God and adding private interpretations to text that did not call for gnostic allegorical interpretation.  When I approached him about the dangers of this practice he assumed that my disagreement was to "control" him not so much to correct him.  I soon saw that he was not walking uprightly according to the faith and his spiritualizing took on the flavor of kabbalistic speculations.  Kabbalist mysticism uses a method of allegorical interpretation that the Bible must be spiritualized to get out the true meanings.  This system of secret knowledge based upon an allegorical spiritualized interpretation is the very root of ancient Gnosticism.

When I tried to convey these concerns to Minister Blume, he became offensive and defensive, and tried to mock me by saying that I did not believe the Scriptures had a Spiritual meaning.  I corrected his devious delusion and twist of the word "spiritual," that to believe the Scriptures had Spiritual meaning did not mean they all had allegorical speculative meaning hidden behind the text.  He then threw up the symbolism in prophecy that according to him needed mystical interpretation or spiritual interpretation. My response was that although there were symbols used they had a literal meaning and did not need a special spiritualist allegorical code to interpret them.  His whole use of numbers and their meanings come right out of Kabbalism 101.  I tried to show him that much of the book of Revelation was literal and he rejected this.  From those days which started in 1997 until this, Minister Blume has gone into the abyss of allegorical interpretation.  He has the most hair-brained theories conjured up I have read no where else in all my life.  So, when I accuse him of using Kabbalistic systemology to spiritualize the Word of God, especially the Book of Revelation and Matthew 24, I am not making a false allegation.  When I accuse him of going to the papacy and her priests and monks for his amillennial heresy, I am not making a false accusation.  The man has had several years to get his doctrine straight and stop his allegorical private interpretations and he has been mule-headed to this day.

He has found friends in Larry Smith and UPC prophet Ron Turner who also accept allegorical mystical interpretations of Bible prophecy.  The men are like Amos and Andy when they are together.  They are a comedy of errors that makes anyone of common sense laugh!  He does not need men playing patty-cake bakers-man with him, he needs open rebuke now that he is spreading his heresies into other Churches.  If he does not repent, all Apostolic men of this age should reject him and make it known.  Blume has now gone into damage control mode: he wants to purge the internet of any expose of himself and his false doctrines.  He sends out emails telling some not to mention his name when they write against his Preterist heresy.  He claims we should attack his teachings if we disagree but not attack the man!  Wow!  How neat to offer such a suggestion to purge expose of the man who signs his name to his heresies.  The Word of God does not tell us we have to love false prophets any more then it tells us to love the devil.  A false prophet has no benefits of Scripture.  Are the Scriptures not filled with the names of men and women who were evil?  Were their names omitted and just their sins or evils attacked and exposed? Absolutely not!  Blume may sweet talk others into removing his name from his heresies, but he will NEVER get that honor here.

My concern then and now is Truth.  When any man puts out a teaching he subjects it to review and criticism.  I felt Mike Blume spiritualized to much of the Word of God twisting it to mean what he wanted it to mean.  Thus, when he went back to the practice of pagan holidays and I scolded him, his response was to write me his mystical interpretation using Paul's writings about eating things sacrificed to idols.  Blume's new conviction was centered around the theory that if a person could block out of their mind a thing was no idol, or counted the thing as no idol, then it was acceptable to have these in a person's home.  Of course we are talking about the Xmass tree here.

I discovered that Blume mystized prophecy to his own private interpretation and I refused to accept it.  Yes, I took him to task and when I could no longer forbear his ridiculous comments I broke off communication.  His claim I was trying to control him is a cheap shot.  Would to God someone could control his run amuck mind!  He has gone from one extreme to another and finally is preaching the Catholic doctrines associated with preterism and amillennialism. He claims I have accused him of believing things he does not believe. Again he lies. He wrote things about the Jewish Phylactries being the mark of the beast. I copied that page and took him to task. He went in and changed the wording and then claimed I falsified what he had written. He knows he altered that page and I have every right to continue to report what he wrote. And I have every right to refuse to change what I wrote. I will not change a word until he admits he altered the page.

When I recently scolded him for that, and sent him several emails, he did see some light that his false doctrine on the number "one thousand" needed corrected.  I also told him he should not use the word "preterist" as it identified him as Catholic.  I suggested a better term would be "partial futurist." He went immediately and wrote a web page about the millennial saying he believed it was future.  He did quick work and inserted "partial futurist" into many of his writings.  He spoke with Smith on many occasions and the two of them are revamping their heresies as you read this page. What Smith comes out with next is anyone's dream.  But you can be sure he will confess a future millennial now that Blume does.  And you will see appearing in Smith's new writings the term "partial futurist" which I invented for Blume. I explained to Blume that I believed some things were partially past, like the destruction of Jerusalem, but it was not all fulfilled.  See my study on the stones being cast down.  I explained that in this sense I am a partial futurist. I also included in my "partial futurist" definition that the tribulation and beast was still future, the marriage of the lamb was still future, the first resurrection and rapture were still future, and the millennial was still future.  What did Blume do, but go back and insert this "partial futurist" term into his writings and give it his own definition and not the one I created with the term when I invented it.  Minister Mike Blume is a dangerous man in doctrine.  He is unstable, double-minded, and is not qualified to be a Pastor in any Apostolic Church.

The Preterist, amillennial, postmillenial heresy has blood all over it.  Blume takes up that guilt when he takes up that doctrine.  I say the same of those who take up the trinity doctrine.  They take up the guilt of the blood shed of those killed for rejecting the trinity (how could any modern Apostolic fellowship with trinitarians).  Michael Servetus believed in the millennial and this was an additional reason that Calvin had him burned at the stake.  Do not mistake me Brethren, I make no pretense: the preterist amillennial doctrine is a papacy heresy and I will not sweet talk the reprobates who are promoting it among Apostolic Churches.  I have received an email that Mike Blume has moved on to a new church home and is no longer associated with the Dartmouth United Pentecostal Church. Thank God!  That Church did not deserve the mark of shame Blume put upon its good leaders and congregation.

The following is a list of false doctrines preached and taught by Mike Blume:

1.) All prophecy from Revelation 1:1 to 20:1 is fulfilled and past, having occurred before the end of 70AD.
2.) All of Matthew 24 was fulfilled by close of 70AD.
3.) All text using the terms "last day, or last days" refer to the time between 30AD and 70AD and are all fulfilled.
4.) The marriage of the Lamb in Rev 19:7-9 took place with the saints living after 70AD in that generation.
5.) The Gospel of the Kingdom to be preached to all the world (age) (Matt 24:14) was fulfilled and ended in 70AD. Aha, now he threatens to sue me because I say he teaches this!  Ok Mike, which is it: all of Matthew 24 was fulfilled by end of 70AD or all of it except for verse 14?
6.) The Law did not end in 30AD at Calvary but in 70AD and the destruction of Jerusalem. Aha, ok Mike, you say when Jesus said "this generation" and the "end of the world" it meant the age that ended in 70AD.  Was there an age before Calvary in which Jesus spoke that ended at Calvary and another "age" after Calvary that ended in 70AD? And is there another age after Calvary?  We can only go by what you say.  What age ENDED IN 70AD? WHAT GENERATION ENDED IN 70AD, The LAW GENERATION OR THE GRACE GENERATION?
7.) The fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy: in the middle of the week the oblation and sacrifice was to cease, was not at Calvary by Jesus, but was by Titus in 66AD or 70AD.  Can't have it both ways Mike!  Something is not clean in your milk.
8.) The beast is the city Rome and Nero is the antichrist; the mark of the beast is past.  Blume did say this.  He can change his wording now and deny he said it, but he did say it. I do not care if he rewrites it to take the heat off himself, he still said it.  Either he was a liar then or he is a liar now.  Either way he has lied.
9.) The two witnesses of Rev. 11:-6 are Joshua and Zerubbabel.  Mike you said this on your own pages.  Blume has now changed his stance and says they are "like Joshua and Zerubbabel."  Changing what he did write, changing his wording, and denying he said it is Blume's way of cover up.  You that come after his changes cannot follow his cunning devices.
10.) Rome is the beast Blume says but also said this: "And people are commanded to bear the mark of the beast in the form of phylacteries" . (Note: Mike Blume is so deceptive: he removed his phylacteries of hell study and placed on the link a response to my expose of his observance of the paganalia of Christmas. But look how dumb he was, he did not change the file name of the old study he altered and then deleted. The file name is still "...phylact.htm..... Soon as he reads this he will go and change the file name. He is very deceptive.).  Click the link and scroll down to phylacteries of the beast.  Mike threatens to sue me and says he did not say this. Go read it for yourself (Special note:  a check just now shows Mike Blume has edited his statement and reworded it).  But his whole page screams about phylacteries as the mark of the beast.  He can change his statement I quoted above but he still said it.  He is a liar if he says he did not edit this page and remove the quote I have above.  I saved an original copy of his page and can produce it to show he altered the text (click here to see the properties of his page and when he revised it).  Yeah!  Caught ya false prophet!  Blume now admits he changed his page.  But he will not put that in print.  Nor will he tell of his hundreds of other changes after I posted these warnings about his false doctrines.
11.) Blume says the sun going dark and the moon turning to blood, and the stars falling from heaven is just a Jewish idiom and will not literally happen.
12.) The new heaven and new earth of Rev 21:1 came to pass in 70AD.
13.) The New Jerusalem of Rev 21:2 is the Church.
14.) Says the last days prophecy of Joel covered only one generation and the Apostles were in it (Prophecy, Focus Upon The Cross).
15.) The strong angel of Rev 10:1-10 is Jesus.
16.)
Blume said: "So the casting out of the money changers is similar to the casting out of Adam and Eve."  This man has a good Kabbalistic imagery imagination!
17.) The word "world" in Matthew 24 means "age" and age means the law age and that present generation.  Blume cannot make up his mind if the age that ended in 70AD was the Law age or the present Church age.  Can someone get him to quit changing on this and stick to one interpretation or the other?
18.) Speaking in tongues in Blume's Church is not allowed (he says it's distracting); members must hold their tongues till in private (unless it is a message in tongues)----
(There is a time and place for speaking in tongues in worship and prayer, but that place is not around others in the church. This is referring to “in the Church,” because OTHERS are to be considered. DO NOT TALK IN TONGUES ALOUD IN CHURCH unless you are giving a message that you know God wants to be interpreted; ...And it does not mean that tongues should be prohibited from being spoken in any form (as modern-day anti-tongue people propose). Its just that tongues must only be spoken in public to precede an interpretation, and they must be spoken in private when in form of worship or prayer to God; ...Some may ask, "What about a person who is receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost for the first time, and that person speaks in other tongues out loud? Is it considered wrong for that to occur?" No. Reception of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues out loud always go together. That is a different issue altogether! But when it comes to those who already have been baptized in the Spirit, their worship in tongues and prayer to God in tongues should never be done in public Church meetings)" See Mike's study 1CORTONGUES. (NOTE:  Mike Blume has removed his tongues false doctrine article at this link and replaced it with a response to my expose of his practice of Christmas and having a Christamas tree. How devious of him, what do you have to hide Brother Blume?).
19.  Larry Smith says he has a private revelation that if he tells it right now his enemies would take it and try to destroy him.  Blume knows what this private interpretation is, but says he cannot disclose what it is. WHY?
20. Blume once taught the Christmas tree was pagan and an idol.  Then he got up under a woman preacher who practices pagan holidays.  When Blume went to Dartmouth and picked up Preterism, he began to seek for a way to justify switching over to observance of pagan holidays.  Here is Blume's ecumenical conversion confession:
"But if we do not regard the deities for which it (Christmas tree) was invented to honour, and we only regard it as a time of giving gifts to one another on December 25, then there is simply no idolatry involved" (I inserted Christmas tree in Blume's excuse so those who read this would understand what he was talking about).
20a........Mike Blume corrects the above--"noted number 20 is not true in the sense that I saw no wrong in "enjoying," not "celebrating," christmas gift-giving before I ever came to Dartmouth UPC and worked with Eunilah K. Means as assistant Pastor in 1996."
(Note, he does not mention the christmas tree he told me in emails he put in his house AFTER he came to this Church).  Now he says he had the paganalia in his home before he came to the woman preacher's Church.  Why of course, Blume, I wouldn't dare blame Sister Means either if she was handing over to me a million dollar Church.  Good thinking son.  Quite good thinking. But, one way or another God will strip it out of your hands.
21. Blume makes prophecy about the "endtimes and mark of the beast" he says is already past.  Now if it is already past, how could taking it damn anyone?  If it was before 70AD and ended in 70AD what's the big deal.  Blume spiritualizes the mark of the beast before 70AD and has it still out there in the world damning souls right now.  How can that be if it is past and over and done with?  Here is his contradictory quote: "In the end of time, the great lie from the serpent in Genesis will be stressed like never before across the world. "Forget God. Deify yourself! Resist God's will and fulfill your own will." This is the mark of the beast! The Phylacteries of Hell. How is this possible?  So what if the serpent does this, the mark of the beast is past and there is no damnation for taking it after 70AD, let Blume produce the scripture that after the beast is dead or cast into the lake of fire, the lord has come in judgment, that the mark of the beast is still to be damnable.
21b. UPDATE----Blume admits now he altered his page.  Click on his link above and read it for your self.  He acts like he was wrong in his statements and needed to revise himself.  Whew, ...he really goes into the abyss with this statements after his confession of revision. He now claims the mark of the beast that everyone is to receive in their forehead or in their right hand is false!  Blume is going to correct the book of Revelation.  Watch now as I post his quotes:

I propose the mark of the beast to not be anything that will be or has been physically applied to the physical forehead of physical hand of anybody. ...However, I see the mark of the beast as an attitude and principle of exalting self and refusing to do anybody else's will except one's own will. ...It's not anything physical placed on the human body of anybody. I trust this clarifies my position. Click here to read Mike's Preterist mess about the phylateries worn by the Jews being the mark of the beast Phylacteries of Hell
. (Note: Mike Blume is so deceptive: he removed his phylacteries of hell study and placed on the link a response to my expose of his observance of the paganalia of Christmas).
Now why does this rascal say all this mess?  It is because he has the mark of the beast to have ended by year's end in 70AD!  I'm telling all of you this man is nuts!  Let's assume his doctrine on this is true: then his interpretation of the mark of the beast would end in 70AD.  Got that?  When he says the mark of the beast is "an attitude and principal of exalting self and refusing to do anyone's will except one's own will" he cannot apply this after 70AD to anyone.  Got that?  If the mark of the beast ended in 70AD then his interpretation applies to those before 70AD.  After 70AD the mark of the beast has ended according to his false doctrines.  Just in case he cries because I omitted a sentence about the computer chip, let me say Blume claims if someone tries to force his Church members to take the computer chip he will tell them not to!  Wow!  This guy has lots of faith in his interpretations.  He claims the tribulation and mark of the beast are ended by 70AD, and then he claims there "never was or will be" a physical mark applied to one's forehead or right hand, and he is going to reject a computer chip in the forehead or hand?  This man is has wishy washy doctrine!  If the mark of the beast is not real but just an "attitude and principle" then take the chip man!  The book of Revelation teaches there will be a real mark of the beast.  Who do you believe, Blume or the WORD?
22. Blume has the Lord coming in 70AD and fulfilling the second coming Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and Paul in 1Thes 4:16. Why must we expose Blume's heresy?  It is because his false doctrines forces the end of celebration of the Lord's Supper!  Paul said in 1Cor 11:26 how long the Church was to observe the Lord's Passover "ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." Blume claims the second coming of Jesus took place in 70AD. He claims the only other coming will be the end of the world event in Revelation 20:5-15.  Thus Blume ends the necessity of observance of the Lord's Supper (Communion-Passover) in 70AD.

This shows the depth of his errors and spiritualized heresy.  He has with his false doctrine removed the Lord's Passover from practice and effect in the New Covenant by years end of 70AD.  The man has gone nuts!  Any Communion practice he observes would be nothing but falsehood and ritual.  This false doctrine forces the end of all observances of the Lord's Supper regardless when you held it. What is more dangerous with Blume's false doctrines, is the fact the celebration of the Lord's Supper is a continuing witness the NEW COVENANT remains in full effect and power.  When the Lord's Supper ceases, the NEW COVENANT has ceased.  This heresy of Blume's forces the end of the NEW COVENANT in 70AD!

He, along with Smith claim the prophecy of Joel about the pouring out of the Holy Ghost ended in 70AD.  So, we have a Church without the Holy Ghost; a Church without the New Covenant; and a Church without the Lord's Supper!  Blume will devise another of his escape tricks to deceive even more souls that he has not ended the Lord's Supper or the New Covenant.  But remember this one thing:  so long as the claims Jesus returned in 70AD, however he designs his new heresy, he can not weasel out of his dilemma and his stupidity. Now Blume says the coming Paul mentioned in relation to the Lord's Supper has not taken place yet.  Yeah, changed again huh Mike.

He now claims the coming of the Lord that ends the Lord's Supper is in Revelation 20 when the last judgment is set and the dead is raised.  Only thing is there is no coming mentioned in that text.  I told all of you he would scheme and work it until he could still practice the Lord' Supper although he does claim Jesus already returned in 70AD.
23. Those who attend Blume's Church better get out and run for their lives.  This man is a loose cannon!  Blume does not want an exodus of people to flee so he will fabriacte cover-ups, change the wording of his studies, and deny these charges.
If the UPCI does not kick this man out, he will infect the whole organization with error and false doctrine. If the UPCI says his errors and heresies are not salvational and that is their excuse to renew his card, the organization is GONE! Hear me, ....GONE! Anyone attending Blume's Church at Wide World of Faith should get out of it immediately.  They should run for their lives.  They should not look back.  They should find another Church or start a new one and find a true man of God who is not off the deep end into allegorical mysticism.  Don't know a preacher who will help start a new Church?  Call me---813-238-7283.
BLUME has joined with Jamen Nicholson to form Garden Valley Fellowship and has moved his family to California. From Blume's words "Garden Valley" will be a place where God can restore the revelation of the Garden of Eden to the world. We will wait now to observe his latest move toward the dark abyss of heresy. When will he preach his sermon against "legalism" and start his attack on holiness standards? Blume is on the move, been in two or more churches in the past three years and now trying to find a gold-mine location to now head up his newest money resource. Oh, and he will be the head of this new "Garden Valley" fellowship and suround himself with a few little hirelings who covet attention and attraction that Blume will be able to accomodate. Keep your eyes open we haven't seen the last of Blume's errors yet!
