Mount Zion,The Jerusalem Above Who Is The Mother Of Us All
Fisherman City-Where The First Souls Were Fished From The Nations
Mount Zion is the location of the famous city of Salem of Melchizedec. The hill was the highest among those surrounding Jerusalem. There is a Jerusalem that is above called Mount Zion and a Jerusalem that is below that is called Mount Moriah.
Here are some Zion Upper City links (I do not endorse everything on these pages)

The below Jerusalem was everything below Mount Zion and this included all of Jerusalem. Two Jerusalems: the lower Jerusalem where people were loyal to the Temple and the priesthood of Pharisees and Saduccees, and the above Jerusalem where the people were loyal to Jesus Messieh and his Apostles.
It was on Mount Zion David had his castle and errected the Tabernacle when he brought it back from the house of Obedeom (2Sam 6:11-16). Solomon then moved the Ark over to Mount Moriah when he completed the great temple. There was a prophecy that in the latter times God would raise up the Tabernacle of David again (Amos 9:11- see mentioned by James in Acts 15:16). Many beleive this Tabernacle of David was the New Testament Church and this is what James is saying in Acts 15:16. If this is true, and I believe James was right on the mark, then the Upper Room and the day of Pentecost Holy Ghost out-pouring was upon Mount Zion. This would appear to also validate the prophecy of Isaiah in 66:8:
"Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such a thing? Shall the earth be made to being forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children."
Zion was the city of royalty, the house of David, and from this mountain went forth many descendants of David to sit upon his throne. At last Jesus Messieh would come here and this would be the section of Jerusalem where the Messianic hope and fulfillment was centered. This Zion, this upper/above section of Jerusalem was also the location of the Upper Room. Who can say God did not have his attention upon this Jerusalem above for 7-10 days after Jesus ascended to heaven? Did a nation come forth from Mount Zion in one day? What is that holy nation Peter described in 1Peter 2:9? The birth of the Church was upon Zion, the upper/above section of Jerusalem.
Zion was the original location of Jerusalem in the days of David. Solomon expanded the walls to include the Temple Mount. The wall was expanded even more by others. Bible maps will verify this. Zion never was Mount Moriah. It is improper to speak of Jerusalem as Zion and mean the whole city as it came to be after the death of David. Mount Zion will always be that place where the walls have been discovered to form the shape of a fish. Is it possible that the Christian sign of the fish represented Mount Zion and the Church founded there on the day of Pentecost? We do not know because no one has written how Christians came to use the shape of a fish to identify themselves. Some think Christians borrowed the fish symbol from the pagan religion of Dagan. I do not accept this at all. There is nothing to remotely back up such an accusation. Some have tried to say the letters of fish in Greek spell out Christ in an mystic form. I beleive the fish symbol came into use because the walls of Zion and the shape thereof resembled that of a fish. And the fish symbol represented the Kingdom of Jesus Christ upon Mount Zion. Others can disagree, there is no salvation lost one way or the other. But I at least have something to put my finger on as evidence and they have NONE!
Zion is the mother of us all. It was here the Church was born and founded. It was this Jerusalem above the rest of the city, were 3,120 were born on the day of Pentecost. The birth mother, Zion, did travail and she did bring forth. It is wonderful and exceedingly beautiful, that Zion when mentioned in the prophecies of Scripture speaks to the mount of the house of David. We who are in Christ are in the house of David and a part of the Zion that travails.
The Kingship of David was not over just the tribe of Judah, it was over all Israel. Thus, the lineage of David was to rule the whole nation over all tribes. This is the central hope of all the twelve tribes in Messieh. When he comes he will unite all the tribes and reign over them as one nation. When Mary gave birth to Jesus she was of the tribe of Judah and of the Davidic seedline. Jesus therefore was not born King over only the tribe of Judah, but over all Israel. Mary then was the unrecognized queen over all Israel to birth an unrecognized King who would qualify to rule over all Israel.
Was Jesus born King only over the tribe of Judah?
MAT 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel (Not just the tribe of Judah).
MAT 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Not just the tribe of Judah).
MAR 15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel (Not just the tribe of Judah) descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
JOH 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel (Not just the tribe of Judah).
JOH 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel (Not just the tribe of Judah) that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Any arguments that Jesus was not King over all Israel because of the divisions of the tribes after the death of Solomon is STUPIDITY! Any argument that Mary was not the queen of all Israel when Jesus was born to inherit the throne of David over all Israel, is STUPIDITY!
We who are Jews by Choice, Israelites of the true holy nation, who receive and hold with respect Jesus, King of Israel, we are the remnant of the seed of the woman of Revelation 12. We are those whose birth descends from Jerusalem above, the city of Zion, the home Church of the Messianic Judaism of Jesus. We gladly point to the Jerusalem that was above as our Mother. We gladly point to Jerusalem above on Mount Zion that is the mother of us all. Now if a person is not Messianic let them pick their mother from any other source or place. We are not brothers and sisters of the same mother or the same birth water.
