The Exodus From Partial Preterism Will Continue
Pastor Reckart,I just read your message board concerning Michael Blume's preterist position. At one time, I corresponded with Michael Blume because I followed the parital preterist position.
Today (11/15/2003), I denounce preterism based upon the revelation I received from you and the Bible. The following attachment is my position. I hope this will shed light to the Apostolic Church by disproving all false teachings concerning prophecy.
I want to keep in more contact with you concerning the Jesus Messiah Fellowship. My wife and I plan to come down to Memphis in May. Hope to talk to you more about this and many other things. Thank you once again for shedding the light in so many different areas.

THE MYSTERY REVEALED

"Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:51, 52).
"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets" (Revelation 10:7).
The American Heritage Dictionary defines a mystery as "a religious truth revealed through Christ to the elect." The truth concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a mystery revealed to the Church. Paul even states, "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness" (1 Thessalonians 5:4, 5). Obviously, "that day" refers to the revelation of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, and the rapture of the Church.
While reading through the Book of Revelation on February 1, 2003, the LORD revealed these passages in 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52 and Revelation 10:7 refer to the resurrection of the saints. In his letter to the Corinthian Church, Paul reveals this mystery concerning the resurrection and rapture of the Church to occur "at the last trump." This passage also refers to the last of the seven trumpets sounded by the seventh angel in Revelation 10:7 during the Great Tribulation. Therefore, the "mystery" described by Paul to the Corinthian Church is the same "mystery of God" revealed by John and fulfilled here in the Book of Revelation. The Post-tribulation Second Coming of Jesus Christ is obviously the only Biblical view concerning prophecy.
Prophetic truth revealed from scripture always refutes mans false traditional beliefs. The error of Dispensationalism is easily refuted because the Church, not the nation of Israel, is a key focal point throughout the Book of Revelation. Besides, Dispensationalism teaches "another gospel" (Galatians 1:8, 9) because this doctrine claims Jews can be saved without being "born of water and of the Spirit" (John 3:5). The error of the Pre-tribulation, Mid-tribulation, and the Pre-wrath coming of Jesus Christ is also refuted because there is only one second coming of Jesus Christ: "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation" (Hebrews 9:28).
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus secretly snatches the Church out of the world; then, He returns later at the end of the Tribulation. John declares, "Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."
Jesus even further states to His disciples, "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven" (Mark 13:24-27).
Evidently, Jesus Christ is a liar according to these false prophecy teachers who claim the Church will not go through the Great Tribulation. Therefore, mans prophetic views go beyond just error. These views become down right blasphemous. The most blasphemous heresy is the Preterist doctrine because this teaching claims most prophecy in the Book of Revelation was fulfilled by 70 A.D. If this were the case, then the resurrection is past according to Revelation 10:7. However, the resurrection is not past. Preterism, whether full or partial, is false doctrine. Paul obviously refers to Preterism when writing to Timothy: "But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some" (2 Timothy 2:16-18). Hymenaus, the first preterist, was "delivered unto Satan" for blasphemy (1 Timothy 1:20). Prophecy, therefore, must not be taken lightly by the Apostolic Church.
Contrary to popular belief, prophecy is an issue that deals with salvation. Paul even states, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition . . . Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:3; 9-12).
Unfortunately, many are being deceived by false teachers claiming the Church will be raptured before the man of sin takes power. This simply goes against Pauls writing to the Thessalonian Church. Furthermore, many will be open to deception because they accepted false doctrines concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear. Truth is always a "heaven or hell" issue.
The truth is the New Covenant replaces the Old Covenant (Galatians 4:21-31). The truth is Jesus Christ will return for the Church after the Tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31). The truth is prophecy concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is still future (Zechariah 14:4, 5; Acts 1:11). True prophetic teaching is also an important part of Apostolic doctrine that must be contended for by the Church. Revelation 10:7 is to prophetic truth concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as Acts 2:38 is to the plan of salvation and the New Birth experience. Thank God for truth and the ministers who "earnestly contend for the faith" (Jude 3).
