Apologetic In Defense of Jesus, Son of God

While the war raged, God gave this to me as I waited on his Spirit to lead me to help the Apostolic people.
From a dear heart who loves the Lord Jesus Christ I received this question:
"I must admit that few and far between are the teachings I have heard that actually pinpoint the explanation of why Jesus is called the Son of God. Usually Oneness preachers skip over that part in a hurry. Mostly, I have heard so many times all about how Jesus is God. Jesus is God. Yes, He is God. I know that. We all know that. But the Bible does call Him the Son of God. I want to know why" (SRE).
This Sister is so right. Why are Oneness afraid to talk about Jesus being the Son of God? What is it about this Apostolic identity of Jesus they do skip over so quickly? Why are there arguments if Jesus "was" the Son of God when he walked upon the earth is he still the Son of God today in heaven? There have been some heated debates on this issue and many friendships were destroyed. Why is there so much interest in this subject but few teach about it as this Sister has said? Is it possible many do not teach about it because they don't understand it themselves? Is it possible that Oneness tend to skip over this because it troubles their shallow understanding of the incarnation and the Godhead? I think so! I do appreciate and applaud those men and women of faith among Apostolic Churches who hold to the Oneness of God in spite of their lack of understanding in some critical areas. We do not have to understand every important detail to be saved. We can be ignorant of many spiritual revelations in the Word of God and still be saved. Salvation is a person and his name is Jesus. This salvation by grace through faith is found in Acts 2:38 and there is no perquisite to salvation that demands perfect knowledge and understanding about the full revelation of Jesus Christ. We are taught that any Truth or knowledge we lack will in God's time be revealed by the agency of the Holy Spirit. So, in our salvation faith we live out our years of praise and worship and receive the revelations as God chooses to give them to us. For many, as with this Sister, the revelation of Jesus as the Son of God remains a mystery.

1.) There are three major religious movements who deny Jesus is/was the Son of God:
Pharisee Judaism modernly known as Orthodox,
Conservative, and Reform (Pharisees founded 280-100AD);
Islam-Muslim (Arab established cult founded by Muhammad 622AD);
Iglesia Ni Cristo INC/Inclims (Philippine cult established
1914).
The denial of the Sonship of Jesus began with the Jews and was spread to Islam via Muhammad's interaction with Rabbis who taught him all he knew of the Old Testament. He was illiterate and could not read or write. The denial of the Sonship of Jesus made Islam an anti-christ religion second in the world only to the Jewish religion. Felix Manalo, founder of the INC, adopted the Islamic and Jewish anti-Sonship doctrine via influence from George Lamsa (his bible translation and his Christian Mohammedan Society founded in 1921).
We have a clear description by the Apostle John on the identity of antichrist. We should not lose sight of this Apostolic warning. To do so is for Christians to sign their own death warrant in the coming endtime tribulation.
Who is antichrist:
"Who is a liar but the that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son" (1John 2:22).
We know "Christ and Son of God" have the same meaning because the high priest yelled in the face of Jesus: "tell us if thou are the Christ, the Son of God" (Matt 26:63).
Anyone who denies Jesus is the Son of God has denied or recanted he is
the Messieh. Anyone who confesses Jesus is the Messieh and denies he is the
Son of God has perverted the meaning of Messieh! To deny Jesus is the Messieh
is to reprobate one's self into an unforgivable sin. It is the Holy
Spirit that bears testimony to the Messiehship and Sonship of Jesus (See
Romans 1:4), and to blaspheme against this is to commit the unpardonable
sin. No one can accept the Jewish religion, the Islamic religion, or the
INC religion and not instantly be associated with those who have committed
the unpardonable sin. The instant a person fully and with intent to
blaspheme against the Sonship of Jesus, makes the statement Jesus was not
the Son of God, that individual is eternally reprobated. The only escape
for anyone in these religions is if they were deceived and blinded and God
has mercy upon them. The denial of Jesus as the Son of God was the
chief antichrist accusation used to crucify Jesus. Anyone who adopts
this antichrist attitude is guilty of crucifying the Son of God afresh. Just
don't do it! Do not fellowship with Sonship denying Jews, Muslims, or
Inclims.

2.) Catholic/Protestant false doctrines on the Sonship of Jesus:
On the opposite side of this Jewish/Islamic Jihad against Jesus as the Son of God, there is the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Catholics, the Protestant Catholics, and other Christian cults who have developed their own theory on Jesus as the Son of God (the Docetics 'divine flesh' cult and Dynamic-Monarchians so-called Apostolics who deny Jesus was God).
For Catholics of all description, the identity of Jesus as the Son of God is tied to the trinity doctrine. Jesus is the eternal Son of God and the second person in the trinity. According to the Nicene Creed, the Athanasius Creed, and the Apostle's Creed, Jesus is God from God, and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit from all eternity. The Sonship of Jesus is his rank in the trinity as the second person, or second God-personality of rank. Catholics define Sonship in this link. They claim that Jesus is called the Son of God to express his divinity and eternal generation from the first God personality of rank who takes on the identity of the Father. They go into different approaches to prove the meaning of the term, the use of the term, and at last how it was applied to Jesus. Thus, within Catholicism, Jesus is the Son of God because of his second station of rank under the first God of rank who eternally generated him by a supernatural begottenship they claim no one understands or can explain. They say that at the precise moment in eternity that the Father became God that the Son of God was instantly also generated so that none was before or after the other as to time of beginning of existence. They give the Father the name Jehovah or Yahweh and to the Son Yahshua or Jesus. Thus they distinguish between the first and second Gods of rank, the Father and the Son.
It is interesting to note that these interpretations about the triune godhead with all these relationships was not invented and made into a binding dogma of faith until 325AD at the Council of Nicaea. It is true that before the trinitarian dogma was invented, there were prior beliefs in two and three Gods by different Ante-Nicene philosophers, bishops, pastors, teachers, and heretics. Trinitarianism was birthed out of the two-god doctrine that came to be identified with Arias. Arias was the champion of the doctrine that the Father was the first God uncreated and eternal. That in time, the Father begot or created the Son as an emanation from himself. He taught there was a time the Son was not, but became the Word or Logos of God, his mind, thought, and image.
The attack came from the idea the Son was then a created being, a created thing, and this put Jesus on the level of angels and other created things. This flew in the face of a cardinal doctrine of Judaism that to qualify as a God there must be an eternal existence without creation and existing for ever without ceasing to be God. In other words God cannot have a beginning or ending. When this was applied to Jesus, the issue came up how he could be God and yet had a beginning, was not with the Father from all eternity, therefore not eternal: was begotten by the Father after eternity began, therefore a time when the Son of God did not exist. This made Jesus no God at all.
The Arians held that God could create another God and to say he could not interfered in the sovereign autonomy and power of God. They held that the Jewish concept that God had to be eternal without creation was insane because somewhere in the infinite time of eternity God came from somewhere. They cited Isaiah 43:10 where they claim it is said by the Son: "before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." They also quoted Hebrew 1:5--"For which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into he world, he saith, let all the angels of God worship him."
The Arians and other two-gods saw in this that God created the Son to exist eternally as a begotten God after his creation and then purposed that this begotten God would come into the world as the Son of God called Jesus and be worshiped by angels and men.
We can see then that the term Son of God came to have different interpretations within Christianity that were just as false and reprobate as that held by the Jews that Jesus was not God at all (Islam did not exist at this time).
The Nicene Creed dogma created at Nicaea in 325AD was enforced by the imperial decree of Constantine. The teachings of Arias and other two-gods groups were officially considered heretical. The Catholic dominance in the world over the Christian religion became powerful, enforced by prison, murder, and death. Anyone who did not confess the triune trinty doctrine was labled a cult or heritic. The Catholic church tried to enforce its unbiblical Sonship dogma upon all Christianity. But the Oneness Monarchians, the champions of New Testament Truth and Salvation, going by different names and identities, refused Rome's Creeds. They had long rejected the Jewish denials. And when Islam arose they rejected Muhammad and his denials.
There was no one present at Nicaea to represent the Son of God interpretation from the Apostles and the Scriptures. Catholics admit their interpretation was taken from Plato philosophy and engrafted upon New Testament teachings (see my study on the trinity).
3.) Islamic antichrist against Jesus as the Son of God
Islamic hatred against Jesus as the Son of God follows exactly the Jewish hate. So, what ever applies below to Islam applies also to the Jewish religion. Muhammad incorporated into his Qur'an the concepts of his Jewish teachers.
Islam has its birth in the religion founded by Muhammad (570AD-632AD) but the religion is said to have been founded in the year 622AD. There is a time lapse of 593 years from the day of Pentecost and 297 years after Nicaea. A person can easily see that Islam is far away from the root source of Jesus and can only make statements taken from the Gospels and other writings of the New Testament. There were no Islamics then who worshiped Allah or who believed in the teachings of Muhammad.
Everything Islamics know and say about Jesus has for their source the New Testament. One thing instantly arises from Islam is that the Gospels and the other writings were corrupted by the Christians. Based upon this charge the Islamics take upon them the task to correct the Gospels and the other writings and make them say what they want them to say offering no manuscripts to prove their corrections were the original autographs of the New Testament writers. In spite of this, Islamics have taken the liberty to attack every portion of Scripture that would undermine and destroy Christianity. The birth of Jesus is altered. The entire Messianic hope of Israel as a people and the coming forth of a New Covenant is perverted. The testimony of Matthew and Luke in regard to the lineage of Jesus and his Kingship of Israel from the seed of David is perverted. The doctrine that Jesus was God with us in human form is attacked with great viciousness and the result is that Jesus is just a man. They deny Jesus was crucified and resurrected, thus totally destroying vicarious atonement and salvation by his shed blood. The entire Christian Church is destroyed by attacking at these simple yet fundamental points of historical fact.
Islamics totally deny the writings of the Gospels and go to great lengths to mock, ridicule, and make acrimonious statements that are blasphemous. From these attacks, coupled with great antisemitism against Jews, the religion of Islam has its origin. Islam by its nature and doctrines is half Jewish (law keeping), part Christian (follows some teachings of Christ), and part pagan (the religion of Allah the moon god). Islam is a religious system with more money then any other religion in the world. It is far richer then Catholicism. Many billions of dollars from oil sales is funneled into terrorist recruitment, training, and activity to assist spread of Islam. Omar Khadaffi tried to give the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan one billion dollars to advance Islamic religion among Blacks in America. The USA government would not allow the transfer. Each year it is estimated 10-30 billion dollars is spent to advance Islam all over the world. A large sum of this money is being funneled into business opportunities where selected front men are buying up gas stations, convenience stores, hotels, motels, donut shops, and giving grants to train medical doctors and other professionals, who in time will weave their way into the fabric of America and then assert their power when the time comes. The purpose of Islam is four-fold:
1.) destroy Jews and Israel;
2.) destroy USA, Christianity, and Christians;
3.) take over Israel and create an Islamic state under the rule of the
Palestinians; and
4.) establish themselves as representatives of God and rule over the governments
of men.
According to Islamic statements: all Jews,
Christians, or other non-Muslims who refuse to accept Allah as God and Muhammad
as his prophet must be hated, persecuted into submission, or killed.
600 Jews had their heads cut off in the presence of Muhammad because they refused to deny their religion and become Muslims. Muhammad took one Jewish girl (Safiyah), according to Jewish history raped her, and forced her to become one of his harem sex slaves. He forced also a Christian girl (Mariyam) to become part of his harem and be one of his sex slaves. There are many millions of Muslims whose ancestors were Jews or Christians forced to be Muslim and need to be repatriated. Let's go get them and bring them home. They are Muslims with Christian souls. They are slaves whose real identity they do not know. They are soul Christians and Islam will never satisfy their spiritual hunger. They must come out of Islam in a mass exodus even as the Jews came out of Egypt. Let the Men of God who have a voice speak out, COME HOME OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE LOVE YOU. WE MISS YOU!
Allah, may he be exalted, says, 'When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks' (Qur'an sura 47, verse 4)”....Abu’l-Hasan al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah." All non-Muslims are called infidels and according to the Imans who continue to spread this vicious hate, the Jihad (holy war) against infidels must be carried to all nations until they are converted, subdued, or destroyed.
Muslims are told that to die in this Jihad struggle will get for the men 72 virgin whores immediately upon death with whom they can have sex and drink wine and devour fruit and honey for all eternity. This is the spirit behind the Islamic false interpretations of the New Testament and specifically those written inspired words where Jesus is called the Son of God.
According to Islamics God had no sons. This is said to deny Jesus was the Son of God. And from this they stretch forth their sword to kill Christians who confess he is the Son of God and thus destroy Christianity. What they do not tell the world is that Allah had three daughters! They will never hide this from those who go seeking! Daughters Allah can have but no sons (the three daughters of Alllah are: Al-lat, Al-Uzza, and Manah). Now that is a real hoot! Who did Allah have sex with to have these three daughters? Ask any Muslim they have the answer.
Islamic doctrine on the sonship of Jesus is simply that Jesus was not the Eternal begotten Son as Catholic teach. Oneness can agree with that. But we reject the purpose for their denial of this. They deny God created another God and called him his Son or Jesus as the Arians teach. We Oneness can agree with that. But we reject the purpose for their denial of this. And, they deny the Jewish interpretation of the term Son of God. This Oneness will not agree with at all.
Our faith is founded on the Old Testament and the revelations God gave via it, which produced the New Testament. This flies in the face of Islam because it is no religion at all without stealing the Jewish Old Testament and the Christian New Testament for its foundation.
Islam has no religious books of antiquity of their own at all. Muhammad had to go steal the books written by the seed of Isaac. How come the seed of Ishmael left no religions legacy except idolatry and paganism? So, Muslims have to pull the Muhammad caravan caper and pirate the inspired books of the Jews and Christians, claiming ownership by stealing them and writing their own version of a holy book. The Qur'an is nothing but a plagerized concoction taking Old Testament and New Testament writings and perverting them into a new paganized holy book. When this great robbery is exposed, they want to kill the witnesses who know the Old Testament and New Testament were taken as war booty during the plunder of Jewish synagouges and Christian churches.
Islam has no right or authority from God to take the Jewish Old Testament or the Christian New Testament and pervert them into their own holy book. The books were specifically inspired by God for Israel and the Church and to be used by all Jews and Christians as their source of religion, faith, hope, worship, and secular conduct and living. Other religions who use these Testaments but who do not subscribe to the religions behind them are shams, frauds, and spiritually illegal. Islam is an illegal religion.
Muhammad invented a world religion by stealing and then turning upon and killing those from whom he stole information to back up his false theory of Ishmael and Abraham. As long as there is one Jew alive, one Christian alive who knows the Truth, Islam is in danger of being exposed. So, they must kill Jews and Christians who will not convert to their prophet and holy book as quick and in any way possible. If Islam ever gets control of the world they will completely destroy all copies of the Old and New Testaments and make them illegal just as they have done in Muslim controlled areas and nations. They will make any form of Judaism and Christianity illegal and any evangelism or conversion of Muslims will be the death penalty just as it is in Islamic controled areas and nations today.
All it takes is one Jew or one Christian to prove the Qur'an is nothing but satanic verses and a corruption. Muslims say the Old and New Testaments are satanic verses, can we not return the accusation?
At the present, Islamics are content to find gullible souls any where they can to entice and then deceive with their lies and distortions. I shall now deal with the Islamic hate against Jesus being called the Son of God as the Apostles clearly described him. Now if the Apostles used this term 593 years before there was an Islam, should we not follow them and not a pagan caravan raider who never did give up his moon god, which is perched on the top of every Mosque in the world?
Islamic claims against Jesus as the Son of God are simple: "God has no sons." Here is a typical episode of Muslims persecuting Christians:
Muslim: Deny right now God has a
son.
Christian: No, Jesus is the Son of God and I cannot deny my
Lord.
Muslim: Jesus is not the Son of God and you must deny it now or
die.
Christian: The Bible says Jesus is the Son of God, I must believe the
Bible.
Muslim: Muhammad says in the Qur'an that God has no sons, are you rejecting
the words of our prophet?
Christian: I can only confess the words of Jesus who said he was the Son
of God.
Muslim: You are rejecting then the words of our
prophet.
Christian: I am believing with all my heart in the words of
Jesus.
Muslim: If you do not accept the words of prophet Muhammad you will
die.
Christian: Please let me live, I am confessing faith in Jesus my Lord, and
you say you follow Jesus.
Muslim: We believe in Jesus but we believe Muhammad is the last prophet and
he says Jesus is not the Son of God. Deny he is the Son of God now or
die!
Christian: Please, I cannot deny this. I believe Jesus is the Christ
the Son of the Living God.
Muslim: You have caused us to kill you. It is your fault. May Allah
have mercy on your soul. Kneel down
here.
Christian: Those present shove him down. He is forced to kneel with his head
hanging down in fear.
Muslim: The Muslims present chant "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,"
while the executioner draws his sword and chops off the Christian's head.
As the body of the Christian falls sideways the chant continues "Allahu
Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." The head of the Christian is picked
up by the hair and held as a trophy of Islam. The Muslims present chant "Allahu
Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." Usually the body of the Christian
is then taken and dumped somwhere away from the scene of the
crime.
The above event, although the exchange of words may not be identical,
has been repeated many hundreds of times from 622AD till 2005AD.
What religion is fulfilling the book of revelation in beheading Christains?
Currently and for centuries it has only been Islam. That ought to tell
us something! Jews have no law of cutting off heads. Only pagans
and Islamics currently hold this hideous barbarianism. Yet in the endtime
before the second coming of Jesus the beheading of Christians is predicted
in the book of Revelation. Islam is a religion not to be feared but
to be opposed in any way Christians can do so. The best way, is to
spend evangelism money to write Gospel tracts and start winning Muslims to
Christ.
I talked to one Muslim a few years ago about Jesus in St Augustine, Florida. He went straight to Jesus as the Son of God. His acrimony was fierce: "You Christians claim Jesus is the Son of God and that God had sex with Mary. You make God to commit adultery with a man's wife to have a son. You make Mary into a whore. You make God to Father a bastard child born of fornication."
These statements were not new to me so they didn't shock me. Some who never hear of these acrimonious statements are shocked. Some with little understanding would tilt their head think a second, and say: you know you are right: God had no right to get Mary pregnant and if he did, then he had to have sex with her. I get your point. And if this is true, then Jesus is indeed a bastard if God had sex with Mary and he was the so-called Son of God. I have met several different so-called Christians who were swept away into Islamic thinking all because they could not deal with these Islamic conversion tactics. In the Philippines, the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church of Felix Manalo has converted nearly 10 million Catholics into this Jesus was only a man doctrine and they use the very same arguments used by Islamics that God had sex with Mary, a man's wife if Jesus was the Son of God.
Here is a quote of Muhammad in the Qur'an:
They say: "the most gracious has betaken a son!" Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it in the skies are about to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, that they attributed a son to the Most Gracious, for it is not consonant with the majesty of the Most Gracious that he should beget a son. (The Qur'an, 5:88-92).
And another quote from the Qur'an:
Allah forbid that He Himself should beget a son! When He decrees a thing He need only say "Be," and it is. -- Sura 19:35
True God did say in some cases "let there be" but he also did creation without this "be" wording. Is this how God made Adam, he just said "be" and he was? Or did God physically make Adam from the dust of the earth? We have a choice of a God who makes all living things by saying "be" or a God who takes substance and physically creates living creatures and man. I personally do not find all this "be" talk in the Genesis creation record of creatures and man. The words "create, created" is the Hebrew word "bara" and literally means to build. This is not saying "be."
Here is a quote of the Qur'an:
The angels said to Mary: "Allah bids you rejoice in a word from him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary. He shall be noble in this world and the hereafter, and shall be favored by Allah. He shall preach to men in his cradle and the prime of manhood, and shall lead a righteous life."
"Lord", she said, "how can I bear a child when no man has touched me?"
He replied: "Such is the will of Allah. He creates whom He will. When He decrees a thing He need only say: 'Be' and it is. He will instruct him in the Scriptures and in wisdom, in the Torah and in the Gospel, and send him forth as an apostle to the Israelites..."
Even here in the Qur'an Jesus is the Son of God because God is the one who made Mary pregnant by saying to her "be."
In spite of all this, Muslims have denied Jesus is the Son of God. Muslims deny Jesus as the Davidic Messieh, Saviour, his correct birth information, his life, his death on the Cross, his resurrection, the establishment of the Church, and his coming back again as foretold in Matthew 24, by Paul, and at last as seen in the book of Revelation.
Muslims argue "Being a father implies having sex, and therefore Allah cannot be the father."
How then is their Allah the Father of Jesus by saying "be?"
Christians have never said God had sex with Mary. This is Islamic slander used to deceive and deny Jesus was the Son of God and Divine. Now that we have shown Islam teaches the conception of Mary was by the Father and not by another man, we must ask ourselves who Jesus is the son of and how?
In the past ten years Muslims have become very professional in the way they are going about to convert Christians to Islam. There are whole web sites now making it appear a Christian can be a Muslim by following Christian teachings. The Christian is made to feel Muslims have valid concerns against Christian teachings. The first emotional conversion of a Christian by a Muslim is to obtain sympathy for the Islamic struggle usually obtained by stressing the wrongs suffered by Muslims from Christians and Jews. They never tell of the hundreds of thousands of Christians slaughtered by Muslims in the many wars of Muhammad and by followers after he died. Last year in Africa there were many thousands of Christians slaughtered by Muslims. Many of these had their heads cut off for refusing to accept Allah as their god and Muhammad as his prophet. Islam has shed more Christian blood and killed more innocent people then the Catholic Church has killed over the centuries. How come this is not reported by many preachers? Muslims are now spending millions of dollars on public advertisements via newspapers, magazines, radio, and television, to obtain sympathy and plant their seeds of discord and division?
At the present, Jews and Christians are the target of Muslims. After these are destroed attention will turn upon the Hindus and Buddhist. First the friendship brigade and the smiling faces of peace. Then comes the war brigage via terrorism and faces of hate. At last comes bloodshed and bloodbath. It will happen, it is just a matter of when will it happen?
America is the main target for destruction and take over due to the large presence of Jews in the financial and business markets and the world strong-hold of Christianity. Islamic infiltration into finance, business, education, medical, religious coalitions, politics (supporting candidates with money), are all being organized into a system of power and control. All to destroy America as the base of Christian influence around the world and to destroy the bastillian of Jewish refuge from death. Jews will fight for America because they know without this refuge Muslims will eradicate them with far worse instruments of death then Hitler ever used. I remind Christians here, we may disagree with Jewish hatred against Jesus, against Christianity in general, but we should pray for the salvation of Jews and not take up Islamic hatred against them because their ancestors crucified Christ. Our attitude toward Jews must be exactly that of Jesus and his Apostles (suspicion, caution, prayer, and love). Anything less then this is unbiblical and will result in our own deaths if we side with Islam and Muslims to even the score for the blasphemies in the Talmud or the Toldoth Jeshu. Salvation came to the Gentile world from Israel, Jerusalem, and Jesus. It did not come from Arabia, Mecca, and Muhammad: ...or a god named Allah. If we are going to show any support for those who are antichrist we will do it first for Jews and not Muslims.
Now according to Muslims advancing their hatred, Jesus is not Divine. They therefore detest the Christian term Son of God to mean Jesus was in any way Divine. They claim the use of "son of God" in the Old Testament never means divine or a physical offspring of God. They also claim "son of God" refers only to adoption of angels and men as spiritual sons.
Do Christians teach God had sex with Mary? No! Do Christians teach that God committed adultery with a man's wife to have a Son? No! Do Christians teach Jesus was a bastard because he had no earthly Father? No! The acrimony of Muslims and Islam using these techniques is without forgiveness. Until they repent of these lies, they cannot be loved and cannot be respected. Anyone who loves them, who respects them, or who feels they have some great affinity toward them, has in their heart been deceived to become antichrist. Who will we love, the Jesus of the Bible or the false Jesus of the Qur'an and Islam? You cannot believe in both! They are not compatible. Islam has another Jesus whom we did not receive.
I live here in Tampa where there is a large Islamic contingency. From this area have come some extremist Muslims who have worked for and assist in the Jihad against Jews and Christians. Not all Muslims are extremists, terrorists, and the like but all Muslims I have met will not saying anything in print or verbally against these kinds of members of their religion. What does that tell you? When I brought this up recently to a Muslim, he replied about Catholics killing Protestants, about Christians killing Muslims, and about America killing innocent Muslims. This in no way can cancel the Islamic killings that are designed to eradicate Jews and Christians. None of the accusations against Jews and Christians can be said to be an eradication measure or plot against Muslims and Islam. Our military wars are protective of our national interest and two of these are the safe-keeping of Jews and Christians without discrimination and killing. These are defensive and not offensive measures. By this same measure Muslims can enjoy freedom and protection here. Muslims, regardless if they are in the Philippines, in Malaysia, in Pakistan, in Turkey, in Africa, or any where else have shown themselves violent, hateful, and show friendliness only if their religion is accepted. Say one thing against their religion and regardless of the nation they are in, they get angry and many times voice threats and violence.
I experienced this in the Philippines while on a bus trip on the island of Mindanao. At a bus stop I got up to buy Missionary Childs some chocolate milk. At the sidewalk booth I ask a veiled woman for some chocolate milk there in her little cooler. She refused! She would not talk to me and just starred at me with seething anger and hate. I waited. She was not about to sell me that milk. I walked away just as an older Muslim woman and man arrived. As I went to the next sidewalk vender looking for chocolate milk, the commotion started. The old women began shouting loudly, her arms and hands raised and waving in angry motion chattering in Arabic. The man and younger girl stood there like puppy dogs under the spell of this female. She was cursing me to hell as I came back by with the chocolate milk. As we sat on a nearby bench, the older Muslim wag kept going on and on and on. She would point at me and rattle off more of her anger. Missionary Childs told me they were being this way because we were Christian Missionaries. People I would otherwise have been very kind and polite toward showed me that Muslims hate Christianity and it matters not what the name of your denomination or group is.
The Islamic position against Jesus being the Son of God is purely fictional and devised only to destroy faith in Christ as being Divine. No one, I repeat no one, can deny the Sonship of Jesus and believe he is Divine. Anyone who believes the Islamic lie that Jesus was only a man cannot be saved. Anyone who denies that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh cannot be saved. This is a heaven and hell issue. The issue is strictly if Jesus is in any way God. The whole argument of Islam against the Sonship of Jesus is to deny he is God. This goes to the issue then of Jesus himself needing to be saved. For if he was only a man, a man of Adam's race who was born in the fall of sin, then he had to be saved. Jesus would need salvation himself if he was only a man. How do the Islamics propose Jesus was saved? They claim his salvation was by works and good deeds in the same way all Muslims are said to be saved. Jesus then according to this religion was born a sinner, lived a sinner, and at last he was saved by his good deeds and of course being a "Muslim" is what saved him according to Muslims that I talked to. If Jesus had not been a Muslim he would go to hell they say!
Islam also teaches Jesus was the Messieh. Now that is strange, but they do. They claim however that being Messieh he was a saviour and deliverer, but "not" a Saviour of souls in the same meaning the Christian Bible teaches. They do not teach that Messieh means King of Israel as it means to Jews and Christians. They do not mean virgin born as believed by the Apostles. They do not mean he was God fulfilling his oath to David in Psalms 132:11. Jesus, was only a man they claim and was a son of God by adoption. This is to make Muhammad and Jesus of equal birth and Muhammad greater prophet.
4.) What is the true Apostolic view of the Sonship of Jesus?
First, we confess Jesus was Divine and he was human. We believe he was God and man. We believe the New Testament teaches this clearly. Jesus said to Philip: "When you have seen me you have seen the Father." Did Jesus lie? Muhammad could never say this! How is it possible that Jesus could tell Philip that he was looking at the Father when he was looking at him? I do not need an Islamic interpretation. In fact I do not want one! I do not care what they have to say about it. Their opinion has the effect to me of blank paper. I do not want any opinion they have, seeing they deny 100% of the New Testament record about Jesus Christ being the Son of God and deny his Deity. I would be a fool to believe anything they said.
Ok, Jesus said: when we see him we see the Father. So, right there I want to start my Apostolic study on the Sonship of Jesus Christ. We start with the Father.
5.) The Father:
Jesus declared to his disciples that when they pray they should say: "OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN." So, we know God here is the Father we are praying to. Now how is God a Father if he has no children? By what means is he the Father? For Jews and Christians this follows a simple Bible fact: God is Father by creation. A biological father creates a child by his seed. This seed contains all the necessary DNA, chromosomes, and other life-giving powers. The egg of the female is not a living thing, but the male sperm is a living thing and life in these tiny spermatoza as they wiggle looking for an egg to fertilize very much show life. The egg of the female shows no signs of life. When the spermatozo penetrates the egg it sets off an explosion wherein tiny parts of matter begin interaction and cells begin to divide and divide and divide and a fetus develops. The father is the life source of this fetus that will be born a child. Father here is a term used to describe the origin of life force. A man who gives of his life source into a wife who conceives is a Father. Even so, God is Father as the origin of life source to all humanity through creation of Adam. There is no human life that the Father does not bring forth. David acknowledged God made and knew him in his mother's womb. So did Jeremiah.
Must there be a sex act by God for him to be a Father? Even Islamics confess God is a Father without necessity of having a child by some celestial union with a female. They claim God is Father because he is God and the life source. So, if the Fatherhood of God can be claimed without a biological God child, why is it such a strange thing that there be a Son of God who is yet the Father's Son?
6.) The Son:
When we examine the genealogy of Jesus according to Luke we trace his ancestors back 77 generations. At last we come to Adam. We all know God generated Adam by creation. We know Adam was not born to God by a female process. We know that God breathed into his nose and he became a living soul. This breathing, this generation, this giving a living soul, this origin of life source in man, is what makes God Father. The very life force of God was placed in Adam. Adam was a generated being. Sonship in its basic interpretation is GENERATION! No, Adam was not an incarnation of God's Spirit. No, it was not a part of God placed in him. Adam was not in any way God in flesh as was Jesus. But the life force of God is what generated Adam's body functioning and why by this generation he is called the son of God. Luke says of Adam: "which was the son of God" (Luke 3:38).
Angels are called sons of God by creation. Adam is called the son of God by generation. Of course this does not mean God had sex with something and Angels or Adam were the result. And it also means God DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE SEX WITH MARY FOR HER TO HAVE A SON NAMED JESUS. God used clay, dust of the earth, and generated Adam. All God did with Mary was use the same clay, the same dust in a living soul and generated a Son, something never done before. Mary did not generate or create the life source of Jesus or with any other child she had. The life source of Jesus came from God since she knew no man and did not conceive Jesus by means of a man. Islam must teach Jesus had to have been conceived by a man and the life source came from a man and not God or their theory about sons of God being generated only from sex is false.
It is right here we pick up on the generating Sonship of Jesus. We know the generating life source of Jesus was God and not a man. What is the difference between this life source in Jesus and other human beings? Good question. Other human beings after Adam have their generation from some man. Eve was created from Adam and conceived children generated by his life source. Afterward, Eve is the mother of all living but the generating life source comes from the male. All human beings that ever lived EXCEPT FOR ADAM AND CHRIST were generated by a male. The generating life source of Jesus was God, therefore God was his Father and he was God's son. No man can claim he is the father of Jesus. Who then is his father? Christians need to answer this. Who is the father of Jesus if God wasn't and another man wasn't?
Muslims do a lot of mockery here against God being the generating Father of Jesus as the Son of God. But they are never keen on telling us who the generating father of Jesus was if God wasn't! Why, if they have all these grand mysteries solved and they know Jesus was only a man, do they not provide who his father was? They do not, because they admit Allah said to Mary "be" and Jesus was conceived in her womb and Allah then was the Father?
I have proved my first instance that the generated Sonship of Jesus was
by the Father and not man.
Now what do Apostolics mean by Son of God? Do we mean Jesus was totally Divine
in his flesh? No, Apostolics do not believe the flesh of Jesus was
Divine. We believe it was totally human and of the seed of David. We
believe the body of Jesus was human flesh. So we do not believe the flesh
was Divine. Here is why many Apostolics find an agreement with Muslims who
also reject the Divine flesh of Jesus. However, we believe more about Jesus:
we believe the Spirit within him was God.
This Muslims deny! We believe Jesus was God and man. This Muslims deny. Here
is where the battle is at between Muslims and those they call Christian infidels.
They say Jesus was not God in flesh or Spirit. We say he was the fullness
of the Godhead bodily. Muslims deny this. We say the Spirit of the Father
was incarnated in the Son of God. Muslims deny this.
Who do we follow, the Muslims and Muhammad or the Apostles? Any one who believes the Muslim lie that Jesus was not God is near unto damnation. Such a person is perhaps already converted to Islam and needs only to find a way to confess that Muhammad is his prophet. A real Holy Ghost filled Apostolic will flee from any spirit of antichrist that denies the Deity of Jesus. We cannot love the antichrist who deny Jesus has come in the flesh who is the Son of God according to this flesh. We must oppose them. And that we will do with the Gospels and the other books of the New Testament. We will stand by the Sonship of Jesus and also his Deity. To do otherwise is to go straight to hell when we die. At the end of the book of Revelation it is said that those who go into the New Jerusalem keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. The testimony of Muhammad is not needed or wanted. Therefore we reject the Qur'an as an unfit book upon which to base our faith and our eternal bliss. Is it any wonder Islam has no New Jerusalem in its future and all they see is Mecca and a pagan shrine to a fallen black Kabba stone? Would a true Apostolic be enticed to accept or fellowship with Muslims who denies the Deity of Jesus? What is the difference in fellowshipping Muslims and satanists who also deny Jesus is the Son of God?
7.) More:
The term "son of God" is Jewish and has its origin within Jewish literature, ...the Old Testament.
Son is basically two Hebrew words: "ben and bar." Put together son of God is "Ben-elohim" and "Bar-elohim." Elohim is a plural of majesty of one God according to world famous Hebrew scholar William Gesenius. Elohim means God, Deity, the Creator, the first Cause, and is often translated "mighty one." It is used to describe angels who have the empowerment of the glory of God upon them to perform their work. As such "elohim" can mean power and the glory of God. By "power" I am talking about the inert glory of God manifest in the ability or capacity to act in control of all things by his sovereign will alone. God is in control and nothing takes place without his direct will and consent. We speak of this as the glory of God and glory meaning to shine forth in such a manner that he is Light and around him is no darkness. Therefore Elohim as Creator and generater of all life is the first revelation name of God. He is El the God who generated life and beside him there is no other God.
Elohim describes God in the awesome glory of his creative generating genius. A son of God is one whose existence comes from, is generated within this glory, this presence. Adam was the first rational soul made by the creative generating genius of Elohim's glory. That was how Adam was created by Elohim, and by this glory he was called the son of God. Who else is the Father of Adam since he was not the product of another living being? By what special glory is Adam the generated son of God? Did God have sex with something to generate him forth? Since Adam came from the earth, did God have sex with the planet to generate him? Of course not, and this goes to show the Islamic slander against Jesus being the Son of God and sex with Mary is obscene.
I believe the answer lies in the revelation of the new birth of the New Testament wherein we are called sons and daughters of God. In this new birth we are born of water and Spirit. This is spiritual generation. But what makes us sons and daughters of God? Is it not the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the glory of God within and upon us? Are we not all baptized into one body by one Spirit and that Spirit is God and that body is Christ? Therein is the key to a simple revelation: Adam was a son of God by generating creation and by the Spirit indwelling of God within him. He was immortal with this baptism since there was no sin, no death, and no condemnation. No, he was not a God any more then we are a God with the same baptism of glory. Adam had the glory of the Creator within him in the same measure we have the Holy Ghost. But he lost it through sin and became mortal! Adam was a son of God by generation and by spiritual baptism of God's own Spirit. He was not a son of God by birth. This establishes that God has many ways to have sons which will include the Sonship of Jesus by Mary. It is the sonship of creation that is the basis of all later mention of sons of God. All sons are created by some life force even sons of man.
Does sonship mean God had sex with someone? No! Sonship has to do with the "GENERATING" glory of God that has begotten us or given us life unto a lively hope, into the Kingdom and family of God, by which we call God our Father.
Here are the scriptures that mention "sons of God:"
GEN 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose (these are righteous sons of Adam, angels have no sexual functions).
GEN 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown (these are righteous sons of Adam, angels have no sexual functions).
JOB 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them (these are angels).
JOB 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD (these are angels).
JOB 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy (these are angels)?
JOH 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (these are born again Christians):
ROM 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (these are born again Christians).
ROM 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (these are endtime Ministers of God).
PHI 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (these are born again Christians);
1JO 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not (these are born again Christians).
1JO 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (these are born again Christians).
In no case in all the above scriptures is there a necessity of sexual function to be a son of God. Now this ought to slap the Muslims smack in the kisser and shut them up. And please also notice that none of these sons of God are being conceived and born naturally of a woman like Jesus was. Therefore the sons of God of these text cannot in any wise be used to describe how Jesus is a Son of God or for that fact, say how Jesus cannot be a Son of God. Islamic slander against Jesus being a Son of God by birth is without excuse.
There are three completely different processes by which angels are generated sons of God, human beings are generated sons of God, and Jesus is the generated Son of God.
It is the lack of knowledge of these different generation processes that may lead a person to think all sons of God come into existence via sex. Angels were created spirit being sons of God and do not have a body made of the material creation (they existed before creation and are made of spirit not associated with the creation, yet created); mankind was created from the creation and is a physical body son of God existing after creation (created); and Jesus is a physical and Spiritual Son of God. Jesus is (God uncreated) and Man (created), born of a woman made under the Law.
Jesus is not of angelic spirit he is of God's Spirit. The body in which he was manifest is RIGHTLY CALLED THE SON OF GOD. Because this human body was generated by God for his incarnation. If as Muhammad says, he said to Mary "be" then what was this created "be" to be, a man surely. And if God created this human body in Mary with "be" then ok, so be it, Jesus was still the Son of the God who said "be" and spoke to Mary. But wait, what of the blood clot doctrine? Didn't Muhammad teach that God made man from a blood clot and not from the earth? Yes he did! A small little perversion from the Bible but nevertheless a perversion. How come God did not create Adam with this "be" word? He did not because God NEVER spoke "be" and it was to Mary. Mary is the one who said let it "be" according to the angel's word and it was. What did God do to make her conceive? We do not know and the Bible does not say. All we can say is God provided the life force for her ovum and this was the conception of the Son of God. Anything beyond that is conjecture. If it gets to wild we simply reject the suppositions and claims by religious nuts.
This would in no way conflict with what Christians believe or cause the Sonship as we believe it to be wrong or false. Yea, it confirms it.
Now the Sonship of Jesus is authenticated not only in the fact the Father of Mary's conception was God, it is confirmed in the words of the prophets. One of these is the name Messieh itself. Jews understood the name Messieh to represent the coming seed of David who would restore Israel and establish eternal righteousness. His name? Messieh! Daniel speaks of the coming of Messieh in 9:25. He gives an exact time frame for his appearing. The name Messieh means Son of God. Because the Jews do not like to pronounce God or even Elohim, they referred to Messieh as the Son of the Blessed. When they said the word "Son" there stood behind it the prophecy of Psalms 132:11 where God swore to David to come to earth and sit upon his throne. This is a direct prophecy of God incarnating himself in the seedline of David. God said he would not turn from this. The Jews understood this. Read now the strong words of the High Priest as Jesus stood with death lingering on every word he spoke:
MAT 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
You can see that Christ and Son of God are synonymous terms. Christ is the same as the Hebrew Messieh. We do not think the high priest would speak Greek here to Jesus. We believe he used the Jewish word Messieh. Therefore, Jesus was asked if he was the Messieh the Son of God.
There is nothing in the entire ministry of Jesus where the devil, demons, and others called him the Son of God that he rebuked them and said he was not.
Did the Jews understand Messieh to be a physical earthy man and God was his Father? Yes, looking to some of the same text we do such as Isaiah 9:6-7 especially about the government being upon his shoulders; they believed in the virgin birth scriptures, they believed the text in Psalms 2:7 "thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee." They held in high esteem the prophecy of Daniel about the coming Messieh. The high priest using the Daniel term associated it with being the Son of God. Do Muslims carry forth the original Jewish interpretations? No! And for that matter, Jews themselves altered their messianic theology to omit these text from their messianic ideas because they were attributed to Jesus. When a person calls Jesus by the name and title Christ or Messieh, they are calling him the Son of God. There is no way to call Jesus the Son of God and not mean by this he is the Messieh. Muslims give no concern or weight to Jesus as the Messieh, Son of God as the King of Israel from David's seedline who is to rule all nations. Jesus is the only King and Islam will never remove this dignity from him and make him only a Prophet in a series of which Muhammad is the last and supreme over all. It is Jesus who is KING of kings and LORD of lords and Muhammad will have to bow his knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Then he will be snatched up by angels and cast into the Lake of Fire.
Scriptures that show Jesus was the Son of God:
PSA 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
HOS 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
MAT 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son (Hos 11:1 fulfilled here).
MAT 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (God said it).
MAT 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
MAT 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
MAT 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
MAR 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
ROM 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
HEB 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
1JO 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1JO 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
REV 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass.
Now consider what was said to Mary which the Qur'an leaves out for obvious reasons:
"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).
The Son of God would be born of Mary. This is a direct fulfillment of the Messiehship of he who would come as the King of Israel and fulfill all prophecy concerning redemption and the eternal hope of the world. There would never come another. He was it. This would be God in human form. And the human body birthed by Mary was to be called the Son of God. Muhammad denied all of this, following Jewish lies told to him by Rabbis.
So, Jesus as to his humanity is called Jesus the Son of God. As to his Deity he is God, the Father, the Holy Spirit, since the fulness of the Godhead bodily dwelt in Jesus.
The Sonship of God was nothing less then another mode in which God revealed himself. Jesus is therefore Father and Son, LORD and Christ, God and Saviour. There are so many scriptures that show us this. Anyone who gives Islam the slightest thought that they are right and the New Testament is wrong is in serious spiritual trouble. They are on the very point of reprobation from which they can never come back and be saved. This is what that falling away of Paul in Hebrews 6 is all about. Many who dabble into other religions and get their faith disturbed where doubts begin to arise against the clear teachings of the Scriptures, will likely be deceived. We are to avoid all doctrines and teachings that do not line up with the Apostles Doctrine. When something does not line up, we simply reject it.
The Sonship of Jesus is an eternal image in which God will manifest himself to his earthly Kingdom people. When we see God in heaven we will see Jesus upon the throne. Poor Muhammad, when he sees Jesus sitting in the throne of God, and he is surprised he is on his way to the Lake of Fire, what screaming and yelling there will be. It will be like the screaming of those terrified women and men, children whom he beheaded because they would not deny Christ and embrace Allah the moon god as their God.
This is a revelation. But it is not given to one man. I am writing this as God has revealed it unto me. If I have made an error in my transmission I will stand corrected. But I will not stand corrected to deny Jesus was the Son of God and God was his Father.
Here is Peter's statement and revelation and the words of Jesus in response:
Matt 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that
I am?
Matt 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou are the Christ, the Son
of the Living God.
Matt 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
We must all confess that Jesus is the Christ (Messieh), the Son of God. This removes all doubt of Jesus having Deity and being God incarnate.
The final proof in this entire study is not so much what anyone says but Jesus himself. Paul said he was declared to be the Son of God by power and his resurrection as a personal witness to all who would believe. And at last, Jesus seals our faith when he claims to be the Son of God in Revelation 2:18 with these words:
REV 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass.
Jesus claims he is the Son of God. How could he claim this unless he claims it by birth from Mary just as the angel said he who was born of her would be called?
Jesus then according to his flesh side was the Son of God and God was his Father.
That body was glorified in the resurrection and in it, God will be seen and known for all eternity. You can trust and believe in the Son of God, Jesus, right now and believe in his total and complete Deity. Do not doubt this, or you cannot be saved. Therefore, believe on the Son of God that he is God manifest in the flesh and be saved. For to do this, is to confess he is Messieh, Lord, Savior, King of Israel, and God incarnate (1Tim 3:16).
Open plea to all Muslims from Pastor Reckart:
Were your ancestors killed and a female taken and forced to be Muslim? Are you the descendent of a rape victim? Are you a Muslim by force and deception? Have you researched the area your family comes from to see when it was taken over by Muslims and many forced to become Islamic? It is possible you are a Muslim by slavery and although you embrace this religion of free will from your birth, you may not be a Muslim in your soul.
Do you find yourself disagreeing with Islamic religious law of Muhammad in the Qur'an? Do you disagee with terrorisim to spread Islam? Do you disagree with the mistreatment of girls and women? Do you disagree with men beating their wives, hurting them, breaking their arms, shoulder bones, and breaking out teeth to make them ugly? Do you agree that a man has a right to have sex with multiple wives and slave girls? If you are a female, is it right for men to use your body as a sexual garbage can, and then make you wear a veil or burka while he walks around cocky, mean as a devil, proud, and unashamed?
