Cover Up, Why?

If You Are Not Holy God Does Not Want You

Holiness Begins With Water Baptism

We are all sinners when God pricks our heart and gives us the tug to turn to him. We begin to listen to the Word as it is preached. We become sorry for our sins. We are remorseful for our actions. And we begin to experience the sorrows of regret. God’s grace leads us to repent. After repentance we are commanded to be baptized (Acts 2:38). It is here when we stand in the water as sinners deserving to be cast into the Lake of Fire, that we seek God’s mercy. It is here that the grace of God will be given to us. This grace is the remission of our sins. Our sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus when we are immersed in the waters of sanctification. When we come up what a blessed new beginning. We have no sins recorded against us in heaven. They have all been blotted out. And because sin has been forgiven we are without sin. Being without sin is holiness. You are now made holy by the blood of Jesus. It is this holiness you will maintain and preserve as your standard of sanctification for the rest of your life. What is it? It is sinlessness. You will live above sin by the blood of Jesus through daily sanctification and prayer. It is here, your standard of holiness in dress will match the holiness of your heart. When you keep your heart clean of sin, you will dress your temple in a manner pleasing to God.

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation” (1Peter 1:15). Conversation here comes from the Greek “anastrophe” (Strong’s #391): behavior.

Our behavior is an external display of our inward attitudes and godliness.

What are we trying to achieve in standards of holiness?

1.) Conformity to God’s nature (sinlessness);
2.) A righteous example before the world (saved by grace);
3.) Not using dress as a means for an erotic message or purpose (outer holiness).

Remember, God did not allow Adam and Eve to dress themselves. He made them clothes pleasing to his purpose. Thus setting in the world the fact that man needs God in control of his outer appearance or he will lapse back into a life of sin. What a person wears will demonstrate their level of holiness as well as their acceptance of sinful behavior.

Clothing has always been a sign of civilization. Heathens and pagans go naked or partially naked. This is because they have no God conscience. In these cultures there is uncontrolled erotica where children are sex objects (cupid, putto, and putta). Images of small naked children have been a sign of the cult of Venus and sexual degenerates over the centuries. Among heathens young girls are raped and passed from man to man. There is no such thing as marriage as the Bible records it of one man and one woman. Each man captures or takes what ever female stirs up his lusts and passions. Women who know this stir up these lusts and passions so men will take them and abuse them at their liberty. There is incest (girls are not safe in the home from their father or brothers). There is uncontrolled abuse as females have but one value. Nudity and semi-nudity that promotes erotic desires is not the nature of God and is not holy by any stretch of the imagination.

By adding a dress standard to Adam and Eve, God was introducing privacy of the body. He was giving both the woman and the man a sign that each have a right to hide their body parts from all those who have no right to see them. It is not a sin to "COVER UP!" God is the one to blame for giving mankind a cover-up dress code that prohibits erotic display of the body. In addition to this, God rejected transvestism, cross-dressing in the clothing of the opposite sex (Deut 22:5). Females putting on man’s apparel and males putting on female apparel. God forbid this practice to put the brakes on homosexuality.

The measure of a civilization is determined not only by its level of intelligence and human rights, but by the amount of clothes they wear. Nakedness in any society speaks directly to the license or liberty of deviant sexual behavior. Likewise, when a female or male exposes their body in an erotic manner, they are sending a message to everyone that their sexual behavior is bad. A person will show the world the extent of their sexual evil by the amount of the body they expose. A girl who will expose her breast is sending the signal she will have a relationship with any male who will cuddle her and be nice. A girl who will expose part of her buttocks is sending the signal she is willing to do anything sexual. A girl who shows her legs up past the knee is sending the message she is ready for sexual relations at any time she can be alone with a male. A girl who shows her body is saying she is sexually uninhibited and is giving the signal she has no shame to do anything evil or wicked. She is unholy from her head to her feet and has no respect for the holiness of God. To expose nakedness which God covered up, is a sign of regression back into heathenism and unrestrained sexual deviancy. Is it not true that places that advertise sexual erotica are known as places where sexual deviance is permitted and expected?

Is this the message of God’s Church? Should we allow God’s Church to be used as a place where men and boys are sent to hell by the erotic clothing of females to entice them into thoughts of fornication or adultery? Or is God’s house a place of holiness where each person places no stumbling block before the other to sin and do wickedness? God’s house is not a place for sexual messages with clothing. Therefore, any clothing that sends a sexual message is unholy and should not be worn by those who are saved.

Holiness standards are in fact just as much a message as erotic dress. We are saying we are not available for unbiblical sexual behavior. The girl is saying no one will touch me except my husband. And the boy is saying he will not be enticed to chase after harlots and whores and let sex take him to hell. A Pastor who upholds a moral dress code is making sure no soul is made in danger of hell by the clothing of members. A Church where there is a standard of dress that reflects holiness, is sending the message to the world that it indeed is a saving place for all people.

Holiness standards are a blessing to the people of God. To all others they are bondage and legalism that prohibits erotic display which they want a license and right to do uncondemned.

Sorry, ungodlines is condemned already!

Holiness without which no man shall see the LORD (Heb 12:14)!

A person will usualy select a Church that permits the level of sin they do not want to give up. An unholy church that allows sexual messages in the clothing or lack of clothing a person wears, is sending out the message that sexual deviates are saved and God's house is Venus temple with a Cross.

Yeah..........

No, God's house is a house of prayer for all nations to come and repent and stop their sinful wickedness and get saved.
