Joel Hemphill Doctrine
Many doctrines have come forth over the centuries claiming to be revelations about Jesus. In recent years a mixture of several different doctrines (Phariseeism, Ebionitism, Adoptionism, Arianism, Islamism, etc), have been merged into a new revelation by Joel Hemphill gospel writer and singer. What makes this new revelation of Joel Hemphill so dangerous is that he was once Onenesss and has renounced and denounced Apostolics as "flirting with idolatry" in worship of Jesus because he is only a man.
According to witnesses, he claims he received a revelation in 1986 that Jesus was not God, but was as the Son of God, a special created human being. According to those who have read his book "To God Be The Glory", Hemphill claims Jesus was born of the virgin Mary from a special new creative act of God. God put a new seed in Mary that was not defiled with the sin of the Adamic race and was thereby able to produce sinless blood in Jesus. According to the doctrine as we now know it, Hemphill joins the ranks of the Jews who denied the deity of Jesus. He also joins the ranks of the Muslims who deny the deity of Jesus. In our investigation into those who claim Jesus was only a man and not God, we discoverered some other major groups who believe the same doctrine Joel Hemphill is publishing. These other groups are: Ebionites, Freemasonry, Unitarians, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Iglesia ni Cristo (Philippines). I am sure we will find others.
According to witnesses, the Joel Hemphill presentation claims Jesus was created in Mary by a new blood-cell that did not have the DNA of Adam. He claims that Mary acted only as an incubator for this new "spoken word seed." In other words, Mary did not conceive in her womb according to her own flesh seed (as with Eve), but God did a special "in vitro" planting of a new human seed into her womb. Mary did not actually conceive Jesus. The little Jesus seed was placed into her and then born of Mary. He was then made under the law, but a totally different human being then the rest of the world. Yet, according to witnesses, Hemphill claims we of Adam's race are related to him and he is our "brother." I think what is meant here, is that Jesus is kinda like a half-brother, but that cannot be true, because he is not half of anything biological of Adam's race. Jesus is then a clone. He is created from a special blod clot cell that is spoken into creative existence and placed in Mary's womb. This fits Hemphil's claim she was just a hosting incubator for the seed spoken into existence and put into her. Is Jesus then a true "son of man?"
Many Ministers have asked the question, "if Jesus is a new created human being who does not have the bloodline of Adam in him, and if he has no human cells from Adam's race, then how can he die?" Because death is only decreed upon Adam's race. Would a perfect human being, newly created, without sin, not of Adam's race be subject to death? Here is a picture form of the Joel Hemphill doctrine.

The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is the only true God. Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah. Peter said to the crowd on the day of Pentecost, "This Jesus, whom you crucified, God has made both Lord and Christ (Messiah)." Jesus sits at the right hand of God. His Father is the only true God and Jesus is the Son of God and he is subject to the Father. The Father is greater than Jesus.
Although I do not know Joel Hemphill personally, I have read his book and that seems to be the thesis of his book. I have also read your article on Joel Hemphill's doctrine. Is there any part of the paragraph above you do not agree with, and if so, why?
That is neither Arianism, nor Ebionism, nor Sabellianism, nor Asthanasianism. That is Bible.

Joel's doctrine is the same as the Jews, Dynamic Monarchians, Islam, Free Masons, and a lot of other cults. That doctrine is that Jesus is not God he is only a man. Jesus is not the Father manifest in the flesh he is just a man. Jesus is then a created being. Jesus is not eternal. Jesus is not I AM that I AM nor Alpha and Omega nor first and last.
Sorry, but the doctrine of Joel Hemphill is not Apostolic. It will be the main doctrine of antichrist as he comes and claims he is the Messiah and son of David. He will claim he does not need to be God or divine. There will be many like you ready and prepared to accept him.

Jesus:
Son of man, born of a woman, made under the law. His humanity shows us he was of Adam's seed, David's seed according to the flesh.
Christ, he is the Messieh of Israel. He is the King of Israel of the seed of David.
Anointed, same as chosen, ordained, set in his order as King of Israel.
Son of the living God, the human birth of Jesus of Mary. Conceived of the Holy Ghost, therefore born of God.
Right hand of God, the same as power, right hand referring prophetically to the power of God. Some verses say sitting, some say standing, some say sat down in the throne, some say in the throne of the Father. If Jesus is a created being and he literally sits at the right hand of the Father, then he IS NOT SITTING IN THE THRONE with the Father. Can't be sitting in two places each different from the other.
True God, same as true Elohim, there is one God. Since when can man be called God? Jesus as to his humanity cannot be called God. His flesh is not God, being born of a woman. If his flesh, that is the son of God born of Mary, is God, then Jesus could never die. God cannot die. the idea of God-flesh is false. The flesh of Jesus therefore cannot be God. But, his divine Spirit, the Father within him, the Father in the Son, the Lord of Christ, this is the one God manifest in Jesus. Jesus can therefore be two-fold: human and divine or God. Jesus is man. Jesus is the very image of God. Jesus is God. When referring to his humanity, his sonship, his messiehship, these are all his human side. When referring to him as Lord, this is his Divine and God side. If Jesus is not God he is not the Lord. If he is not the Lord he is not divine. If he is not divine he is a created being. If he is a created being he is a part of the creation. If he is only flesh and a created being then he did not and could not exist before man whose seed he is was created. If Jesus was a created spirit being before Adam was created and was merely transported into the flesh of he who is Jesus, then what part of Jesus is this created spirit being?
Greater then I, is referring to Spirit being greater then flesh. Jesus could say this. I can say it. But I cannot say I and my Father ARE ONE! I cannot say when you have seen me you have seen the Father. I cannot say the words I speak they are of the Father. I cannot claim to be the son of God born of Mary's Davidic seed and therefore Messieh. There is ONE Son of God. There is one only begotten son of God. Jesus is both begotten as to his humanity and he is eternal according to the Father whom was incarnate in him.
The doctrine of Joel Hemphill is the same as the doctrine of the Jews, the dynamic monarchians, Islam, Free Masons, and other cults. He denies that Jesus is both God and man. He has Jesus a created being before creation and then makes him a created being of Adam's seed. He has two Jesus'. He has an angelic Jesus who is a spirit being who is born into the world in the body of Jesus. He has a two-fold Jesus of spirit and humanity. But his Jesus is a mystic Jesus. What Joel Hemphill and you and others of your belief have done is go Gnostic. You are Gnostics and you have a Gnostic Jesus. You have a human Jesus who is less then divine and on the same order as the Masonic Christ who has prior been known as Osiris, Nimrod, Marduk, Baal, Buddah, Krishna, et al of the pantheon of so-called human Christs.
If you willingly follow the Gnostic interpretation of the Scriptures in relationship to Christ, then you will have only a human Jesus just as Joel and others who deny Jesus is God. You will focus on his non-divine human role, titles, identities, and body: and deny his role as God manifest, his titles that belong only to God, and his God identity, and that God glorified the human body to forever manifest himself through to the redeemed of the earth. Your Jesus is not the Jesus of the Apostles. Your Jesus is not the Jesus Paul preached. You preach a partial Jesus his humanity only. We preach the full Jesus in whom dwelt the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
The heresy of Joel Hemphill may deceive many even as the same false doctrine has deceived millions in the Iglesia ni Cristo in the Philippines. May deceive as many as the Catholic church and its trinity doctrine. But numbers do not declared the sheep not the sheepfold of Christ. If Joel does not repent of this heresy and come out of it, he just as well go join Muslims and chant to Allah because he is no better then they in the denial of the worship due unto Jesus the author and finisher of our race. He is one with all these anti-christ groups who deny Jesus is God.
It is very obvious Joel and others believe they have a great revelation. But in fact they have only rediscovered Gnosticism. I know not what route this came into the mind of Joel Hemphill but I would gather looking at recent pictures of he and his wife and daughter, that it came from the same sources which led them away from holiness into charismatic liberalism. I am so shocked to see Sister Hemphill all made up and looking like a Jezebel. This is not the Hemphill family I went to see in concerts years ago. It is not the same Candy I saw years ago as a holiness beauty. It is not the same people. In fact I have come to realize I do not know them. I mean I knew them according to their music and the holiness image they put forth and at that time were not ashamed. But something has happened to that family that led them from the Apostolic way. And that same spirit has led them away from the Bible Jesus to an unbiblical Gnostic christ who is a created being only.
I am grieved in my spirit for this man whom I love. I will pray for him. But I will not receive his doctrine.
